Whenever Cas spotted a person, he would wheel around and look for another way. This process took quite some time, but he managed to avoid being seen for the most part.

They finally made it to the beach. Nick let out a sigh of relief. “We made it.”

Cas sighed as well, nodding. He walked along the beach, stumbling occasionally on the loose sand.

Nick followed him. “Do you see a man anywhere?” he asked, looking around.

"Not yet, no. I hope he'll show up soon." Cas crossed his arms over his chest, trying to calm his racing heart.

Then Nick noticed a figure that looked like a person. “I think that must be him.”

Cas looked up, feeling his heart pound in his throat. "Yep…"

“Ready?” Nick asked nervously, glancing at Cas. He looked back at the figure with apprehension.

He nodded anxiously and stepped towards the man with Nick, his legs trembling. "What do we say…?"

“Umm…good question. Maybe that we want to know about the pirates? Should we come right now with our plan, though?” Nick asked, thinking.

"Maybe not immediately… should we just wing it and see how it goes?" He asked.

Nick nodded. “Yeah.”

“What are you two doing?” called the man in a deep, accented voice. Nick glanced at Cas nervously.

Cas froze up for a few seconds, terrified. "U-Um, we… we wanted to see you, sir…"

“We, um…heard you know something about the—the pirates in this area,” Nick added, equally terrified.

“Aye, and why do ye want to know?” the man asked gruffly.

"I'm just gonna tell him…" Cas mumbled to Nick. "Um, well… I'm Casper and this is Nicolas, and we've got a really stupid plan that might work and it benefits you."

“As in, the visiting princes?” The man chuckled. “Do tell, lad.”

"Okay, so basically our kingdoms have been at war for a long time, and we want to stop that." Cas gestured with his shaking hands, his voice wavering as well. "We thought maybe if our fathers thought we were kidnapped, they'd work together to get us back, basically… and, you know, ransom money and stuff…"

“So ye want the pirates to kidnap ye? I’m certain that can be arranged, but are ye sure that yer parents will pay the ransom? Methinks the pirates would need something to be sure yer serious,” he said, looking at the two of them.

"They have to." Cas said with as much confidence as he could muster. "I'm the only heir, and Nick's only got a younger sister. They're going to want to get us back. I've been missing for a few days already."

“And if they don’t pay up?” the man asked, narrowing his eyes. He appeared to be considering it, but also suspicious.

"I see no reason why they wouldn't. I don't think they're stupid enough to try and start a war with pirates." Cas shrugged.

The man frowned. “Fine. I’ll show ye to the pirates, but if they say no there’s no arguing from neither of ye unless ye want to lose yer head,” he said, gesturing to follow him. “And keep up. It’s not my fault if ye lag behind.”

"Yes, sir! Thank you, sir!" Cas bowed politely before trotting after the man, trying his best to keep up.

Nick went as well, walking briskly in an attempt to match the man’s pace. After a few minutes, they reached a dock, lit only by the dim glows of a few lit torches. A large boat and a couple of smaller boats were docked there. Nick expected the man to go to the large boat, but he chose a seemingly random small boat and climbed aboard, giving the two princes a gesture to stay put as he knocked on the cabin door. A woman walked out, her hair cut in an uneven bob. She surveyed the two, jumping down.
“What is this?” she asked, in a voice with a different, lilting accent.

"Um…" Cas looked up at the woman and then back over the man. "Should I explain again?" He asked, and did so when he received a nod.
