Cas was still lightly shivering, but he seemed to be getting better with Nick's help.
Cas was still lightly shivering, but he seemed to be getting better with Nick's help.
Nick smiled at him comfortingly, internally simmering with worry. Leo remained quiet, but he still had an obnoxious smirk on his face.
Cas didn't notice Leo since his eyes were closed, keeping his hands balled into fists to make sure he didn't accidentally use his powers and get colder.
“Is this some sort of weird way of trying to get your parents to accept your love for each other?” Leo mocked from his wobbly stool. “You wouldn’t be the first.”
“Would you just shut up?” Nick growled at him.
“Oh, looks like someone got his feelings hurt,” Leo taunted. “That’s not a wise way to speak to your captor, ya know.”
Cas blushed a bit at Leo's comment and looked up at him, though he didn't try to move away from Nick. "What do you care, anyways? You supposedly don't even recognize us… this is a hell of a lot bigger than you think."
Leon smirked. “Sure it is. And please, your hair is obvious. Just because I’m a pirate doesn’t mean I don’t know a prince when I see one.”
Cas blushed harder, looking away with a huff. "Stupid hair…" He muttered to himself as he lay his head back on Nick's shoulder.
Leo rolled his eyes. “Whatever. This should be interesting.”
"What should be interesting?" Cas asked, tentatively glancing back at Leo.
“You two. Lydia’s plan. This whole situation.” Leo replied vaguely. He made eye contact with Cas and smirked again.
"What's Lydia's plan…?" He asked, sounding even more nervous.
“If I told you that, then it wouldn’t be any fun,” replied Leo with a careless shrug. “I’m no villain with stupid monologues which detail his exact plan.”
Cas sighed and buried his face in the crook of Nick's neck, desperately wishing they weren't princes so this wouldn't even be a problem in the first place.
Nick held him, trying to will Leo away. He had never hated anyone as quickly as he hated Leo. At least it seemed he was done making rude comments for the moment.
Cas was silent, staying as close to Nick as he possibly could for warmth. He was starting to lose hope, which was definitely Leo's goal.
“Well you two are being boring,” Leo sighed dramatically. “Come on, where’s the intrigue?”
"Oh, won't you shut up for once, bitch boy?" Cas sighed, getting exasperated.
Leo’s eyes widened for a moment, and he was left speechless. Nick chuckled softly at his bewilderment.
“Well, that worked.”
Cas nodded and closed his eyes again, cuddling closer to Nick. He was still shivering lightly from the cold.
Nick did his best to warm Cas up a bit, folding the smaller boy into his embrace. He continued to use a bit of extra heat with his powers.
"Why's it so fuckin' cold in here…?" Cas muttered quietly.
Just then the woman from earlier walked in. Leo instantly jumped to attention, sitting back down when she shot him a look. “Hello boys,” the woman said with a smirk. “How are your accommodations?”
"…Cold." Cas said softly, still tangled up with Nick. He couldn't care less what she thought about them at this point.
The woman didn’t even mention the fact that the two boys were cuddling. She hardly seemed to notice. “Good. I figured I’d come back down here and introduce myself. Sorry for not doing it earlier, you two must think I’m a terrible hostess. I’m Lydia.”
Cas nodded. "I'm Casper and he's Nicolas, but I'm pretty sure we said that already. I can't remember…" He tucked his head under Nick's chin.
