(Sorry I disappeared!)
“So Lucifer tells me you’re a bit more than his plaything, hmmm, Gabriel?” Angelica raised her eyebrows with a smirk. “I bet you didn’t expect the devil to be able to hold love in his heart.”

(( it's totally ok, I do it a lot too :))
I'd be surprised if you could, Gabe thought to himself, but didn't say. "I didn't doubt it."
“I just find it so funny,” Angelica laughed, something her eyes twinkling, but it was probably nothing good. “So, I do believe you owe me a luncheon. I know an amazing place downtown, they serve the best salads.”
Gabe sighed a little, running a hand through his curls. He had to agree, at least. "Alright."
“Wonderful, I already have a cab lined up,” She said happily, walking back to the door but looking at Gabe expectantly.
Gabe pushed himself off of the wall, following her out and closing the door behind him. He would have to be careful, he knew - careful of Angelica, and careful of himself. If he was going to explode or break down, he needed to be able to save it for when he was alone.
Angelica brought him down to the first floor and to a cab that was already there. She slid in, giving Gabe a smile as she waited for him to sit down too.
Gabe did the same, closing the door behind him and trying to avoid eye contact with Angelica. He had no idea what she had planned, but knew it probably wasn't good.
The driver started off -Angelica already told them where to go- and Angelica flashed a smile at Gabe even though he was avoiding her eyes. “What’s wrong, little pet, hmm? You do realize I am an angel, right?”
"Yeah, I know," Gabe replied, his voice showing no emotion, neither negative nor positive.
“Most of hell’s population would be begging for me even to look at them, yet you’re quite the opposite. Did Lucifer plant lies in your sweet little head?” Angelica raised her eyebrows, not a hint of deceit in her face.
Gabe looked over to her, pressing his nail into his thumb so as not to shout at her. "You think he did?"
“Well I’m sure he certainly didn’t tell the truth. Did you honestly believe that the devil, of all people, wouldn’t lie to you?” She raised her eyebrow.
"Like you said, he seems to have love in his heart, so I wouldn't doubt it," Gabe told her, refusing to believe anything she said.
“Hmm, that’s cute,” Angelica smiled. “You know, I used to believe him too. That he loved me. He used to whisper it in my ear every night,” Angelica told him, her smile softening.
Gabe managed to keep himself from punching her, digging his nail deeper into his skin. "You're an angel."
“Yes, I am. But when I came down here to make sure Lucifer didn’t hurt his citizens too bad… Well, one day he cornered me in a room. And the day after that. And the day after that. And soon it just became a thing we did every night—him whispering sweet nothings into my ear while he- well you can guess what he did to me. And I believed he really did love me,” Angelica finished with an almost… sad? With an almost sad smile.
"Aren't you the one who corners people into rooms?" Gabe asked, not bearing to be polite anymore.
“Excuse me?” She raised her eyebrows, “And I’m guessing Lucifer told you that?” She crossed her arms over her chest.
Gabe nodded, his voice still devoid of any emotion at all. He couldn't let it have any.
“I’m warning you now, Lucifer really doesn’t love you. You should’ve heard what he told me last night,” Angelica said as the car slowed to a stop in front of a nice little restaurant that looked similar to an olive garden.
"Don't think I need to," Gabe mumbled to himself so Angelica couldn't hear as he got out of the car and walked around to the other side.
Angelica already reserved seats outside, a waiter was already there even. She sat down, smiling still, “You know I’m not surprised why you believe in him. You want to know why?”
"Why?" Gabe asked her, sitting down in his chair and looking up at him under his eyelids - a look that could be interpreted as either very respectful or very disrespectful.
Angelica smiled softly, “Because you always went back to Abby even though in the end she stabbed you.” Angelica had looked into Gabe file a couple night ago. Lucifer had tried to hide it from her -he had the file locked up in a vault- but Angelica had authority over him and she got the file anyways.
