“Oh, why do I want to make Lucifer be in pain in the first place?” Angelica had the audacity to laugh. “Hon, pain equals power. I want keep Lucifer on a tight leash, because even though he’s the face of ruling hell,” Angelica paused, a smile growing on her face, “Hell is all mine.”
"I didn't even know you existed until he mentioned you to me," Gabe told her dryly.
Angelica gave him a frown and rolled her eyes, “Please, he was just too afraid to tell you about me. I wasn’t lying when I said we used to lay together. And besides, I’m still an angel. It’s not good to have it be common knowledge that an angel is calling the shots in hell.”
"I literally lived in the palace. I talked with tons of people. And was not aware of your existence," Gabe continued in the same tone, pressing his nail into his palm as he carried out his argument.
“Oh, so you’d rather me torture Lucifer in public? Because that’s definitely an option.” Angelica raised an eyebrow at Gabe.
"Or, I could have one of our messengers tell god what you're doing," Gabe told her, a half-assed attempt at salvation.
“And He’d believe a messenger from hell over me, a perfect little angel?” Angelica laughed lightly, “Are you honestly that dumb?”
"Yeah, kinda," Gabe admitted, shrugging. After a couple of seconds, yet another impulsive thought TM tumbled its way out of its mouth.
"Torture me instead."
“And why would I do that, hmmm?” Angelica raised an eyebrow. She had better plans than just switching the two’s roles, but she wanted to hear the mortal’s shabby attempt at trying to save Lucifer.
Gabe shrugged, unable to come up with an argument compelling enough. "Because. I would prefer it."
“Pfft. And you expect me to do what you want me to do?” Angelica rolled her eyes, finishing off her salad.
"Probably not. But it was worth a shot," Gabe said with a small sigh, feeling his last hope drift away as he pushed a dark curl out of his face.
“You done with your salad?” Angelica asked, finishing her bloody mary. She glanced around at the other tables to make sure everything was in place.
Gabe nodded, a little confused but not motivated enough to care much.
“Good,” Angelica stood, and with that, four other demon men around the restaurant stood as well. the one nearest grabbed Gabe’s arm before the others approached.

Gabe's eyes widened, but he couldn't do much against the demon men considering his own size and physical prowess.
(evil laughs)
“Come now, it’s best to get back to the palace. I’m sure Lucifer is dying to see you,” Angelica purred and two of the men grabbed Gabe by the arms and forced him to stand, just as a limousine pulled up, right on time. “Gabe, you should learn that when I offered you a deal, a way out… you should take it while you still can,” Angelica laughed a little, walking into the limo and waiting as the men forced Gabe in after her.
Gabe bit his tongue, his impulse wanting very badly to accept the deal and avoid whatever was coming full-on. But the other side of his brain told him to go along with it. He had always found a way to bullshit out of most situations, so he would have to get through this.
Angelica grinned like a cat as the men got in the expensive limo with Gabe and the driver started off down the road. It wasn’t long before the castle appeared in view. Angelica looked to Gabe, saying with narrowed eyes, “You’ve been an obstacle for far to long.”
Gabe didn't say anything, not thinking of anything particularly smart to say. Instead, he simply nodded in silent agreement. So she would torture him. Or something.
The limo stopped and Angelica gracefully got out, the men dragging Gabe out too. People parted in… awe? They were in awe of Angelica’s presence, smiling and some even bowing as Angelica walked into the palace with her men dragging Gabe behind her.
