"I told you I'd be happier with either, but also sad…" He sighs. "So I asked what did you want."
"I told you I'd be happier with either, but also sad…" He sighs. "So I asked what did you want."
“And thats how the decision was made,” she responded quietly. “Based on me.”
"Based of you. Of a decision I made."
“All I’m saying is naybe it would be best if I started thinking about others a bit more,” she replied. She was now ready to end this conversation.
"If that's what you think is best." Tanner shrugged it off but quickly stood up when he saw Xander. "I-I'll talk to you later…"
"O-okay, I guess," she replied. But Tanner was already walking away.
Tanner didn't want to get in the middle of things so he goes and sits by the stretching rail.
"Hey, Piper," Xander said. Then he sat down right next to her and started rummaging through his bag. She scooted over just a bit.
Tanner notices Cassie finally showed up and she comes over to him. "H-Hey Jarred."
"Oh, You finally made it."
Piper noticed Cassie come in, but she didn't go over to say hi or anything. She just turned to Xander.
"So, I took the liberty of choreographing the first 30 seconds of our performance, but it's a very rough draft."
Tanner and Cassie barely talked but said small things here and there.
Xander and Piper got to practicing, and in a few minutes, they had made sufficient progress. As much as Piper didn't want to admit it to herself, Xander was a really good dancer.
Tanner started stretching a little as Cassie says a joke. He starts laughing quietly. "That's not true…"
While they were taking a short break, Xander started questioning Piper.
"So, how do you know that Jared kid?" he asked.
Tanner looks over at Xander when he said that. 'You don't have to tell him Piper…' He looks down. 'I shouldn't have even come here.'
"We were friends before I came," she replied, not wanting to cause a scene.
Tanner gets up. "Hey, Cassie? Want to go talk outside…" She shurugs and both of them go outside so they weren't 'in the way'
"So were you two a thing?" Xander was persistent.
Tanner heard 'a thing' and sighs. They get outside and Cassie seemed suspicious. "What was that for?"
"No, and why does it matter?" Piper asked him. Frankly, it was none of his business.
"I just…Wanted to talk you out here." he lies.
"I just wanted to get to know my dance partner," Xander said with a smile. Then he spun her really fast, dipped her, and waited a few seconds. "If we're going to do a good job, you've got to trust me," he said quietly. Piper stood up.
Cassie laughs. "Or you're in a bad mood."
"I can say the same to you."
"Yeah, well, if we're going to do a good job, we've also got to practice." Piper recovered quickly, and began going through the dance again.
"What do you mean?"
"Why are you mad at Cornia?"
"It's none of your business."
They worked really hard to perfect it, especially since auditions weren't that far away.
Tanner knew she wasn't going to say anything so he just goes back in leaving her out there by herself.
For the next hour or so, Piper and Xander were very busy. By the end of the class period, they had gone over their part plenty of times, and they were both feeling good about the progress they had made. Xander went over to the other side of the room to pack his things, and Piper did the same. But instead of going out the door, Xander came back over to Piper.
Tanner was getting his things packed and changing his shoes. He looks over at piper he was about to go over there when he noticed Xander.
“Hey,” Xander smiled. “Do you wanna come to the pizza place down the street tomorrow with me and some of the other kids?”
