"Sure." He gets up and stretches.
"Sure." He gets up and stretches.
They walked together until they got to the dorms, both of them going really slowly.
Tanner sighs. "…I hope you do well!"
"Yeah, you too," Piper responded somewhat half-heartedly. She hated how melancholy their relationship had become, but what could she do?
He hugs her then went in the direction of his room.
Piper sauntered down the hallway to the room. She flopped onto her bed.
"Well well well, look what the cat drug in," Cassie said from her bed. "Where have you been?"
Tanner sighs and puts the bracelet on. "Not ready for tomorrow…"
"I just went for a walk," Piper responded calmly. "What's it to you?"
He flops on his bed sighing. "Maybe if I…Go to sleep…And forget about today."
"What's it to me?" Cassie was visibly upset. "I thought you were in trouble! I tried calling and texting you and I couldn't get an answer! What do you mean what's it to me?"
Piper didn't answer for a little while.
"You know," Cassie broke the silence, "you've been acting really weird lately. Lying, being rude, you're not acting like yourself. You act more and more like Nancy every day. I wouldn't even be surprised if Corina wasn't your real name."
Piper looked up in shock.
Tanner falls asleep for the rest of the night.
Piper turned her head a bit, not sure she heard Cassie right. "What did you say?" she asked in an even calmer voice. The more angry she got, the calmer she sounded, until it was almost creepy. Then once it got to the creepy point, if she got even more angry, there would be an outburst.
(Tanner gonna sleep)
(Ok well maybe you could take over for Cassie and I could just do Piper?)
(Sure)
"Since Jarred came You've been acting differently." She stated. "Like he's more important now. He may have been your friend then. But what about the ones now?"
"I don't think you understand what you just said. Are you implying that I not be so excited when my old best friend comes back to me? Is that what you mean? Because if it is then you can forget about that."
"That's not what I meant. Why can't you trust me?" She crossed her arms.
“Why can’t you trust me? Why do you always get suspicious when I talk to Tanner, or even take a walk by myself?”
"Who's Tanner?" She looked at her confused.
“I-um,” she panicked a bit. “I mean Jared.”
"Wait…Jarred's name is Tanner? A nickname right? You call him Tanner?" She asked.
“No, I just called him that by mistake, I know another guy named Tanner,” Piper lied. “But that wasn’t the point. You didn’t answer my question.”
"Yeah. You used to be so honest with everyone." She states. "Now you won't even tell the truth."
Piper didn’t even acknowledge that comment. She’d had too much drama for one day.
“You know what? Not everything is about you. I don’t have to tell you everything if I don’t want to. I don’t owe you anything. If I want to keep my life to myself, I can.”
