The struggle had come to a close when Locket had the creature tired out on the ground, before Locket’s long tail curled over, the bulb on the end opening up to reveal a sharp stinger. Still holding the creature down, Locket plunged the spike into the creature’s neck, then removed it, and got off the creature. It did not take long for the poison to do its work. While the poison typically did not always kill its target, this case was different.
With the creature downed, Mos got to work, approaching the limp thing, and kneeling down. Mos whispered a few things, sounding similar to ‘thanks’ before she started first with removing the short horns, then working on removing the pelt carefully.
The winged individual watched with interest as the creature swung its tail around, revealing what only he could figure to be a stinger of sorts. As if to confirm his thoughts, the thing lashed forward, striking the thing dead. Now, he has lived a very long time, but these individuals were different from any he had ever seen before.
He remained on the branch, continuing to watch as the other humanoid went to work carving the dead beast apart. Right then, he wasn't the least bit interested in a meal, as earlier he had been. Now all eyes were on these strangers, curious.
"SHHHHHHHHHHH. Someone passed this way." Aza pulled her dagger out of it's sheath.
Stella paused listening to the forest sounds and heard the footsteps, she then reached to her side and grabbed a bundle of leaf-shaped throwing knives, "Who's there?" She called, seeing if they would respond.
Eyelashes fluttering, Aza muttered something under her breath. She opened her eyes and they began glowing with a pale silver light. Whisking her hands in an organized pattern, light streamed from them, drawing a rune in the air. The rune floated off into the night. Delazey landed on Aza's shoulder, then jumped down to the ground, and Shifted into a larger dragon.
Turning to Stella, Aza had clear concern in her eyes.
"You okay to travel by dragon?"
Stella nodded, "Yes. M'lady always took me on her dragons with her, so I am very comfortable by Dragon Transportation."
"Even though it's a daemon?"
"Yes of course," Stella glanced at the dragon, "Beautiful creature. A shame they aren't used too often," She sniffed and sighed, "Probably for the better though. They can become quite dangerous at times."
Ancro fidgeted. "If- if I may ask," he stuttered, "where are you going? And is the dragon truly a demon, a creature of darkness?"
Aza rolled her eyes. "It's a DAY-mon. Not a DEE-mon. There's a difference. But because she's tethered to me, and I'm a twilight-night elf-faerie, she is connected to my darkness."
The girl tried to pull him away, and this time he did not resist. They began to retreat into the woods whence they came.
Stella watched them head into the woods and ran her fingers through her hair, brushing it to the side, 'Shall we go?"
"Yep." Brushing her hand along the dragon's gleaming scales, she climbed aboard carefully.
Stella followed her, carefully getting on top and sat near the back gently grasping the gorgeous scales.
Serenade watched Stella board the daemon-dragon in disgust, repelled that anyone would just accept a demonic creature.
"You coming, Serenade?" Aza looked behind her at the shy girl.
Serenade sighed and nodded.
“I probably don’t have much of a choice.” She flapped her feathered wings, and flys up to hover beside the dragon.
Stella watched the winged girl as she got on, “We’re all on.”
"Okay, Deza!' The dragon flapped twice and shot into the sky. Aza's black hair streamed out behind her, and her eyes lit up with the eerie light again.
Stella gave a light groan as Aza's hair hit her in the face. "Watch your hair," She muttered.
After the pelt was removed, Mos inspected the pelt. "A rare one, in good condition. This'll do for sure," she spoke to herself. Once again, she was careful as she set the white pelt on Locket's back. The horns of the creature she had set into a pouch on her waist. While she did not plan to take all of it, she began to remove some of the meat of the creature. Looking over at Locket, she tossed a small piece to him. Locket snapped the meat up in his 'beak' fairly quickly.
Locket looked around, as if scenting something else, but stayed by his Rider and companion.
The humanoid moved a bit, the branch creaking slightly in protest by the movement. His golden eyes could be seen glowing in the darkness of the helmet covering his head. The male's wings unfolded from his back, noticing the creature glancing around, most likely sensing his presence.
Well, he wasn't really hiding it. Simply sitting in a branch nearby, having watched the scene. He tilted his head to the side, still seeming more like a curious child.
Serenade flew alongside the daemon, enjoying the rush of wind, temporarily forgetting that she was next to a demonic creature.
After a while of just walking and walking she finally decides to stop. Letting herself fall to grass she sighs. Looking at her surroundings she slams her hand on the ground. I feel like I'm walking in circles. She then lays down in the grass, looking up at the sky. She then notices something, something flying in the sky. Quickly getting up Ivy stands there staring up.
We must go on. She shook her head at him, No, we need not help from others, we shall be fine alone.
Ancro shook his head in frustration. We cannot survive well on our own, you know this.
She glared at him, You know what happens when we try. You know what they do to us. She ran a hand down her unnaturally light hair, a certain vehemence in her expression. As if she would tear it out if she could.
Ancro's expression softened. Little sister. Fear not. Not all men can be evil. You will see.
She shook her head.
Please, he begged, we will both die if we do not try.
She tossed her head, the hair covering her face. "No." she said quietly.
Stella watched the ground below and saw a girl staring up at them, "Stop the daemon. There's a girl down there." She was too impatient to wait so she jumped and landed on the ground in front of the girl.
Stella regained her balance, dusted her clothing off and brushed her hair out of her face, "Hello." She gave a slight bow, and put her hand against her chest, "I am Stella Calico."
Still a bit frozen Ivy slowly gets out, "H-hi. I'm.. uh.. Ivy." Then, very very slowly she starts walking backwards.
Stella looked surprised, "Oh, please don't leave. I'm not here to hurt you," She glance up, "Just thought I'd, y'know drop by?"
