Loud noises and booming voices. She was terrified. She covered her ears with her hands and fell to the ground, her eyes squeezed tightly shut. Ancro gritted his teeth and crouched beside her, nearly on top of her. They huddled there on the ground for a few minutes shivering. Then there was silence. Except for the singing of a lone bird.
After all the commotion Iris walks over to Aza. "Well, now this was fun. Sadly though, I'm going to need some energy so ju-" Iris gets cut off and half of her body turns back to normal. "Do not touch her Iris" Ivy says. "But she is so full of powe-" Iris begins. "NO, I said not to touch her," Ivy screams. Both of them then step back and and start battling each other
“It is fine. It seems that curiosity is something that nearly all species share, including mine, no?” Mos replied. Locket, behind Mos, had taken to laying down for now. “What were you curious about?” She added.
"Indeed madam. I cannot find any argument to your statement."
The male's wings seemed to unfold slightly, but then return to their place against his back. The soft 'creak' of his armor was heard as he shifted his weight a bit.
"As for your question, I cannot say that I have seen anything like your mount, or yourself in my lifespan, and I have seen quite a bit. If I may ask, without sounding rude, but may you enlighten me of what your creature and yourself are perhaps?"
"The hell was that?" Stella panted and jumped down from the tree, examining the charred ground. The beast or whatever it was roared again thankfully not shooting the magic

"You can try," Aza smiled deviously. She pulled a pitch black dagger from her sleeve and spun it dangerously around her hands. "But you may find my aim is very accurate."
Ivy and Iris sit on the ground, panting. They look at Aza and Ivy says, "I can only hold her for so long, if you really wanna go with her th-" Iris kicks in and starts laughing as the side that Ivy has control of dies out.
"Oh, Ivy is always so sweet, trying to make sure no one gets hurt. Yet she forgets that for her to live, I need to live," Iris begins, "Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way, even though I'm pretty sure you want the hard way."
(I feel like that response made no sense but oh well…)
Aza hissed and her daemon grew into a huge panther behind her, the cat's teeth dripping with darkness. "Remember about the darkness getting into your bloodstream?"
"Of course! Yet you have to take into consideration that I myself am a type of darkness…" Iris smiles. Then in a blink, her black ombre goes farther up her arm, and it starts shimmering. "This is gonna be fun," she whispers
Stella slowly crept toward the darkness, pausing only to cast a minor spell which combined her knives into a three-bladed sword. She advanced forward until she bumped into something, a beast ever so large head of a lion but with scales instead of fur, long purple, probably poisonous tongue flicking around, black body like a giant rhino, hooked spikes protruding from the back and the legs of a panther, the claws dripping in poison. Stella stepped back and looked into it;s eyes. Big mistake they glowed a furious red glaring at her. Stella took another step back and ran back where she started, with the others. The beast charged after her crushing all that got in it's way.
There was thumping, running. Faster. Ancro woke up and glanced around dazedly. Fear. Danger.
He shook his sister. "Chion! Wake!" She made no response. He shook her furiously, desperation breaking into his tone, "Chion!" She moaned and rolled over. Ancro looked around, heart racing. A female -the one called Stella- burst through the bushes, a monster close behind.
"Chion!" he screamed.
Stella noticed the boy Ancro and the girl from earlier, "Run you fools!" She yelled, the girl was asleep and the boy looked scared. She picked the girl up and grabbed the boys hand and started running once more.
Ancro ran, glancing behind him he saw the monster fully. A giant scaly black lion with bared fangs and cruel claws. And it was gaining.
Chion twisted in the girls grasp. Someone was carrying her away. "Ancro!" she whispered weakly.
She started to twist violently. Her palms glowed bright white and she clenched her captor's arms with a wrathful grip.
Stella cried out and dropped her, her arms filled with a cold burning sensation.
Chion tumbled to the ground, her hair obscuring her clouded eyes. A muffled pounding filled her head. She raised her head in time to see a beast charging straight at her.
Ancro let Stella's hand go and stared back in horror. He raced towards the monster with the speed of lightning.
Stella gasped in pain and shook her arms out, the pain fading. "What was that for?" She asked confused, "I'm sorry if I scared you both."
"Dragon alert," Aza said mildly and threw her blade opposite Ivy. She shot her hands out and the darkness surged toward Ivy and paralysed her.
The beast opened its maw and tried to bite down on Chion's shoulder. She part rolled, part collapsed out of the way and raised her hands, palms shining. With a scream she sprayed out something, part liquid, part gas straight at the creatures face.
Ancro got to her just as she fell unconscious and slumped to the ground. The monster was frozen in place, its face covered in ice crystals. Ancro tried to pick her up. Chion? Please be safe. Please come back.
Stella formed her sword again and stabbed at the frozen beast.
Ancro looked up at Stella, "Can you help her?"
Stella nodded, "Yes, I know how to heal." She knelt down to view her then looked back at the beast, "We need to move somewhere safe…Can…Can I pick her up? Or will she do that thing again?"
Ancro winced. "She is unconscious right now. But it might be better if you left her there." He crouched down next to her and began to whisper in her ear.
"How long until the beast unfreezes?" She was impatient.
"Stab it again to be sure, but I doubt it matters at this point."
Just then, Aza's blade flies in and pierces the dragon's heart. Darkness spreads through it's veins, turning them black
Stella attacked a couple more times then settled in the grass next to Ancro and Chion, "What are her conditions?"
