"I think I want to be alone if that's fine," Cicada responded sounding sure in her words. A day to herself, save for classes, sounded kind of nice at the moment. It would give her time to gather herself as well, "But thanks for the offer."

"Yeah, of course." Phoenix nodded a little, continuing to hesitantly walk off. A part of him wanted to stay, worried about her. The other half, his more logical half, was telling him to go through with her request. She didn't need him right now, so he could go home. "Um, see you tomorrow?"

@ShadeStar

"Yeah, see you tomorrow," Cicada gave him a smile in return before turning to go to her dorm. She took a deep breath before walking off towards her dorm. Hopefully Phoenix was fine with her being alone, why wouldn't he be? Maybe because he's a worrywart at times?

Phoenix watched her head inside, before letting out a weak sigh. He walked back to his apartment alone, trying not to think about it too much. She was gonna be fine. She had said so, there was no need to worry about her.

@ShadeStar

Cicada made it back into her dorm and let out a long sigh shutting the door behind her. She kind of just wanted to break down and cry on her bed, but she was also stupidly tired still and figured maybe sleeping was the best idea.

When the sun rose the next morning, Phoenix was pacing circles around his room. His thoughts were cloudy from the lack of sleep he had received the night before. How was he expected to sleep after that? His brain pounded with thoughts, and the headache building up. Something was clearly bugging him- even his roommate, who had come asked him to keep it down when he paced the room the night before, had figured that much out.

@ShadeStar

Cicada woke up the next morning at just the right time to have already having missed her first class. Great, just great. She decided at that point she was just going to stay in her dorm for the day and email her professors about what happened, not the full truth, but enough that her absence could be warranted. Then her mind flickered to Phoenix and she wondered if she text him to check up on.

Phoenix was still pacing his room, completely forgetting about his responsibilities. He had forgotten about class, not seeming to even notice anything but his thoughts as he paced. He had screwed up big time, and wasn't sure how to fix things. He fingered the forming bruises on his skin, letting them be a reminder to his situation. What was he going to do?

@ShadeStar

Cicada let herself wake up a little bit more before getting her day started. She got those emails sent to the professors so she wouldn't get in trouble. Then she debated a moment before sending off a text to Phoenix, Hey are you doing okay?

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix didn't see it for a while, glancing over to his phone when it lit up for the third time. Hesitantly he picked it up, reading over Cicada's text a couple dozen times. The obvious answer was no, but he didn't want to worry her. So slowly he began typing up a response. 'Hey, I'm alright. I need to talk to you, though. Is there any way I could come over to your dorm?'

@ShadeStar

Cicada blinked slightly at his message. Maybe his car had been fixed and she needed to drive him back over to the other town. That probably wasn't the case, but she sent back anyway, 'Sure. I'll meet you by the door.'

Phoenix nodded some, letting out a weak sigh. She was going to stay close to the building. With people, and cameras. In broad daylight. That was better than meeting him somewhere random on campus, at least. 'Yeah, thanks. I'll be there in a couple minutes.' When texting her, her clearly didn't think about the fact she could have been heading to her next class. But this was far more important anyways.

@ShadeStar

Cicada started to become concerned. She wasn't at class and that was a good thing, but she should have been and Phoenix should have known that. Something must be wrong if he was coming over right then and there. So she grabbed her keys and began to make her way down to the front door of the dorm.

Gathering a jacket, his phone, and keys he was off out of the apartment. The darker circles under his eyes were pretty prominent, but he'd do his best to wave it off. He wasn't fine, but he could pretend long enough if it could protect her.

@ShadeStar

Cicada made it down to the front and glanced around to see if she could spot Phoenix. She did spot him after a few minutes and gave him a slight smile at seeing him.

Phoenix was quickly walking up to the apartment, glancing around the surrounding area. He could be anywhere, waiting and watching. The thought built up in the back of his head, him picking up the pace. He was up at the building in a matter of minutes, putting his gaze on her. "Hey…" He greeted in a weak tone, still glancing around.

@ShadeStar

"Hey… Are you alright?" Cicada asked him noticing his more jumpy behavior. She opened up the door for him and gestured for him to come inside hoping that might calm him down, "Come on in, we can head up to my room."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix glanced over to her, slightly shaking his head. Though he doubted she noticed. He was so tired and so anxious as they walked; his brain was so incredibly foggy as well. It showed as he stumbled a little when following after her.

@ShadeStar

Once he was through the door she went to maybe hug him or hold him or something. He looked dead on his feet, and she was really worried about him, "I'll help you to my room okay?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix wrapped his arm over her shoulder, holding onto her tightly as they made their way to her room. "Yeah, thanks…" He mumbled as they walked along. He didn't know how to act, but knew it was too late to pretend he was okay.

@ShadeStar

Cicada nodded once efore making her way back to her dorm room. She would gladly hold onto Phoenix given how he was acting. Was he hurt? Did something happen? What was going on?

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix kept glancing back behind them, keeping her held close to himself. She was probably worried for him right now. His paranoid behavior probably wasn't helping right now either. "I'm sorry…" He mumbled as they reached the door.

@ShadeStar

"Hey, it's fine," Cicada replied glancing up at him as she opened up the door. she gave him a soft smile letting the door swing right open though concern showed freely in her eyes, "What's up anyway?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix played with his one sleeve, still holding onto her. "I- um… I just want to make sure you're okay…" He mumbled a bit, realizing her probably needed to give her some space. So he took a step back, hugging himself.

@ShadeStar

"I'm fine," Cicada told him letting the door shut behind them. She appreciated the space he was now giving her, "But what about you? You look like you didn't sleep at all last night."
