"Hold your horses! I am. Jesus…" Kyle sighed and walked over, sticking his tongue out at her.
"Hold your horses! I am. Jesus…" Kyle sighed and walked over, sticking his tongue out at her.
"Listen, I'm sorry to be so uptight. It's just… there's a lot of havoc around the planet. Too much for it's own good." Rodan sighed.
"I know, no need to apologise. You're just doing you're job and doing the best for your planet." He shrugged.
"It wasn't supposed to be this way! Suri shouldn't have even been put anywhere near politics, much less… she's my baby sister, I can't let anything happen to her!" Rodan suddenly banged her fist to the wall. "And with all the disruptions in the flow of things, I just can't…. I don't want her to get hurt!" she spat out.
"Rodan. Calm yourself. Getting angry isn't going to help Suri," Kyle crossed his arms, "I'm know you'll do your best to keep her safe, that's what big sisters do."
"You're crazy if you think I can actually keep her from getting hurt. If anyone could. She's… listen, this isn't something I'd like to discuss. Let's just go, and forget about all this." Rodan said, entering back into the lift.
"I won't mention it again, you have more word." Kyle said seriously as he stepped into the lift.
"I hope your word is reliable, or I'll have to take your fingers as compensation." Rodan scoffed, pressing the ground floor switch.
"Well, if I wasn't going to before I definitely won't now. Fingers come in great use." Kyle chuckled.
"That's a good lad." Rodan smiled, but then a look of fear glazed over her eyes as she spotted someone in the sea of beings rushing back and forth. It was a woman with greying ginger hair piled up on her head, eyes sharp as a shark's tooth, a flaming orange, danger lying behind the calm facade. A younger gentleman stood by her, brown-haired, brown-eyed, skinny with a long face and gangly limbs. They were both wearing soft blue robes, but the woman wore them better. The male's pooled around his feet, he only looked awkward, really. "Eulidia. And is that Hildred? Nevermind, we should go. Quickly." Rodan hissed.
“Why? Who are they?” He asked in a hushed tone, doing his best not to stare at the two.
"Nevermind that, let's go!" Rodan said, making a beeline for the exit.
“I’m coming!” Kyle hissed, following close behind.
"Believe me, if they are you with me, they'll probably skin you and use it as a doormat, and then give me a good telling off. Guess which is worse," Rodan said with enough dryness to fill a desert.
(*not are, find)
"Oh great. As much as I do want to die, skinning doesn't sound like the best why to go about it. Let's just get the letter outta here." Kyle tried to not stare at the other two.
"Exactly." Rodan opened the doors for them to leave, but then-
"Darling! It's been so long, how are you? I'm so intrigued to hear about your new political career!" Eulidia said, her voice was shrill and stern. Hildred followed behind her, trying not to be seen.
Kyle frowned and inwardly groaned. They were so close to escape but they had to be seen. He turned politely to the new comers.
"Ah, and who's this? Have you finally found yourself a spouse to keep you in line?" Eulidia said, then sniffed the air. "Ugh. Filth, I see. Is this your darling sister's new pet? She always did love her specimens." she said with a note of malice, but it was a malice attached to Suri, a malice that, whilst Surielovnetchkrodanariatchbel was prone to hide it, they both secretly shared. "It's none to you, and if it's all the same, I do need to be going. Important delivery for the Capitol and all," she lied as she waved the package with the letter. "Oh, more's the pity, Well, I must be going. Hildred, with me!" Eulidia snapped, dragging the frightened youth by the wrist. After a moment, Rodan let out a nervous breath of air. "Close one." she chuckled out of hysteria.
Kyle was more concerned about Hildred then anything and watched the two go, "Yeah. Close one." He muttered.
"Well, let's get back to Suri before she gets bored and accidentally blows up a building." Rodan said.
Kyle chuckled somewhat nervously, "Would she seriously do that?"
"She's a well-meaning idiot, so quite possibly." Rodan shrugged.
“Well, I’ll make sure to not go anywhere near Suri when she was explosives.”
"Wise choice." Rodan opened the doors to their shuttlecraft. "So, did you find it?" Suri asked concernedly. "Yup. And Matriarch Eulidia showed up too, if you must know." Rodan added.
