Oliver grew more worried and nudged Shiroka again, a little harder. He didn’t deserve whatever it was that he was going through in the dream world.
At the firmer nudge, Shiroka gasped, sitting up abruptly, or at least partially as the weight of Oliver atop him kept him from moving much. He panted and coughed, rubbing at his throat as he trembled, silent and not quite realizing Oliver was still there with him
Oliver sat up a little more, practically in Shiroka’s lap. He gently, ran his hand through the other’s hair, then let it rest on his cheek, “I-It’s okay… I’m here…” He whispered, hopijg to provide at least some comfort.
Shiroka was breathing heavily, wide-eyed still as he looked around a moment before realizing that Oliver was still there. He was tense, but after a moment he began to slowly relax. Shamefully, he looked down, hating that he had that outburst in front of Oliver, of all people
Oliver's heart sunk slightly at the look on Shiroka's face. He went back to gently running his fingers through his hair, just like he'd done earlier and hummed softly. Even though he was slightly curious as to what he had been dreaming about, he didn't dare ask.
Shiroka just leaned against Oliver now, his head resting on the other's shoulder as he slowly evened out his breathing, calming down as he let his eyes close and focused on the feeling of Oliver's fingers carding through his hair. "I'm…sorry," he eventually murmured. "You didn't need to see that."
Oliver’s heart sunk a little more at that and he frowned slightly, glad Shiroka couldn’t see, “You had no choice over whether that would or would not happen. There’s no need to apologise…” He replied quietly.
Shiroka just kept quiet now, staying where he was. He didn't want to get up or pull away–it had been so long since someone had held him, even if it was for a short time like this
Oliver when back to humming softly, letting his nails gently scrape along the others scalp now, too. He didn’t move, either, not wanting to and so he didn’t, staying where he was to comfort Shiroka.
Shiroka couldn’t help the way he melted at the feeling of Oliver’s nails scraping gently against his scalp, biting his lower lip out of habit as he nearly whined softly. He liked when his hair was played with in general, so the little bit of scratching had him turning to jello
Oliver had to bite back a giggle as he watched Shiroka. It was kind of funny to see the man that always dressed so scary and threatening practically turn to water with just a few minutes of having his hair played with. It was cute.
Shiroka felt a bit of an embarrassed blush rising to his cheeks now, but he didn't have the heart or will to stop Oliver. He was practically made of jello at this point anyways, his eyes starting to half-close in enjoyment
This time Ollie did let a tiny giggle slip and he smiled down softly at Shiroka. He really was like a big, overgrown puppy now he thought about it and the thought had his smile growing ever so slightly.
Shiroka let out a soft little noise somewhere between a whimper and a snuffle, burying his face in Oliver's chest as he tried to hide his reddened face as best he could
Oliver's smile grew to the widest it had been for a while. Even though the smile wasn't big, it was big enough to be a noticeable difference to anyone who'd seen him recently.
Shiroka tried to hide his face, but out of curiosity, he peered up at Oliver just a little, only to feel his heart melt at the sight of the smile on the other's face. So he decided to snuggle up closer to the other, adorably hiding his face just a little against the other's chest
Oliver let out another giggle and rested his head on Shiroka’s shoulder. His fingers never ceased their movement, massaging his head now along with just combing through his hair.
(sorry I died, I had bad service over the weekend)
Shiroka absolutely dissolved at the massaging, just the faintest hint of a rumbly purr escaping him as he leaned against Oliver. He didn't even have the mind to protest anyone doing something for him, he was so out of it
(All good, it’s fine)
The smile grew even more, Oliver not even trying to hide it from anyone that might see. When the moment was over he knew it would disappear, but he let himself enjoy holding Shiroka and not think about anything else.
"Thank you…for being kind to me…" Shiroka eventually managed, gathering at least that much of his wits about him as he curled up gently against Oliver. No one had been there to help with his nightmares, not since his brother left
“There’s no need to thank me when everyone should do the same,” Oliver replied quietly, sighing softly, “And… I-I guess this is in return to you… helping me…”
Shiroka wanted to frown, but he was still having a hard time thinking when he was being pet like this. "I…" he started, but trailed off, unable to string together the words he wanted
Oliver sighed softly and didn't say anything else. He didn't want to say anything else to make Shiroka upset, not when he was as relaxed as he was.
Shiroka just frowned a little, unable to think of what he was going to say. This caused an adorable pout to cross his face, though it was half-real at best
Oliver bit his bottom lip, noticing the small pout and feeling guilty. Some part of him knew he hadn’t really done anything wrong but he couldn’t help it.
