Eventually, Shiroka just settled on snuggling up again, letting out a soft sigh. He didn't need to think anyways, he was busy getting a head massage. But now that he was starting to wake up from his little bit of a relaxation haze, he started thinking of ways to repay Oliver. A small massage, perhaps? Another night under the stars?
Oliver knew at this point he should stop and go about his day, actually do his job and do something productive rather then sitting her all day. But he wanted to just spend a day relaxing here, and he didn't dislike the idea of Shiroka staying with him.
"Would you…Would you like something in return?" Shiroka eventually offered a little out of the blue. "I…It's really nice of you to do this for me, and I would feel bad if I didn't repay you. I can…help with chores? Give you a massage?"
Oliver's eyes widened and he quickly shook his head, declining the offer, "N-No. It's fine, r-really. You don't have to do a-anything."
"But I want to," Shiroka insisted gently, sitting up now so he could turn to face Oliver. There was a cute, hopeful look in his puppy-dog eyes, as if he was all but pleading that way alone
Oliver pulled his hands away and sat them in his lap, looking down at them. He didn't know why Shiroka wanted to help, that he insisted he did and that made him pout just a little, "Why?" He asked quietly.
"Because…I care for you. And I care for your happiness and wellbeing. I want you to be happy, and I wish to return the favor for helping me," Shiroka said slowly, choosing his words carefully in an effort to get past his usual emotional denseness
Oliver blinked once, twice. He chewed on his bottom lip, still pouting and confused, “I…” A thousand questions were running through his head and he didn’t know what to say.
Shiroka thought he was still in the clear for all of two seconds before realizing that Oliver wasn't talking. In fact, the other looked upset at Shiroka's words–at least, that's what he assumed–and the ninja quickly began internally panicking while doing his best to stay collected on the outside
Oliver was quiet for a while longer. He attempted to speak a couple times but all that came out was quiet and spluttered nonsense. He swallowed, lifting his gaze from his lap to Shiroka then back down, “O-Okay…” He whispered.
Shiroka let out a mental sigh of relief, and a soft smile spread across his face. "In that case," he hummed before sliding onto his knees, shuffling around Oliver so he could sit down behind him. He folded his legs as he plopped down, and gently, he rested his hands on the other's shoulders. "Is this okay?" he asked softly
Oliver was confused at first but a moment later a red tint covered his cheeks. He chewed on his lower lip, nodding slightly to his question, “Y-Yeah…” He replied quietly.
"I figured a massage would be a proper thanks, considering it's one of the few non-violent things I'm good at," Shiroka said, smiling softly as he began to gently knead Oliver's shoulders, taking his time as he moved around a little, looking for any particularly bad knots
Oliver leaned into the touches, nodding again at his words but not bothering with a worded reply. He hadn’t had a massage in who knows long. His muscles were tense and knotted and there were a couple really bad ones in his shoulders.
Shiroka was a little surprised when he found how tense Oliver was, though he didn't comment on anything. "This might hurt a little at first, but it'll feel better, I promise," he assured him gently as he started working out one of the smaller knots, trying to help him get used to it
“O-Okay…” Oliver mumbled, trying to relax his body as best he could. He closed his eyes, releasing a long breath. It hurt a little, yes but he wasn’t going to complain about it, not when Shiroka was nice enough to do this for him in the first place.
Shiroka did his best to be gentle, and after a moment, he managed to get the first bad knot out. He rubbed soothingly at the spot, sweeping up a little to rub at the base of Oliver's neck while he was at it
Oliver sighed contently, leaning back into Shiroka and his touches more. That felt great and he bit down harder on his lower lip to keep in any sounds of contentment that would embarrass him.
Shiroka lingered a moment before moving on, finding another knot to work out. If he was being honest, this was sort of therapeutic for him as well–it let him mentally doze off a tad as he made someone else feel better
Everything was going fine until Shiroka pressed down on a particularly sensitive spot, causing Oliver to whimper and hiss quietly and softly. He looked down at his lap, hoping Shiroka hadn’t heard but that was unlikely.
Shiroka froze immediately when he heard Oliver whimper, thinking he had accidentally hurt the other somehow. "Are you okay?" he asked frantically, eyes wide as he pulled back a little
Oliver nodded quickly, “Y-Yeah. J-Just sensitive there…” He replied quietly, fiddling with a loose string on his jumper.
"Sensitive in a bad way, or just sensitive? I can avoid it if you want," Shiroka offered gently, not touching Oliver anymore out of fear he might hurt the other on accident
“N-No it’s fine. You can touch there but be gentle… p-please, everywhere else is fine…” Oliver said, sighing through his nose. Now that Shiroka has started the massage he didn’t want him to stop.
"Okay," was about the best Shiroka could come up with as a response. Gently, he returned to the spot, unable to really feel if there was a knot there due to the fact that he had to now be especially gentle
