Raven walked down, hands holding a mug she had forgotten in her room earlier, oh well. She ignored the both of them as she headed into the kitchen to make some tea.
Raven walked down, hands holding a mug she had forgotten in her room earlier, oh well. She ignored the both of them as she headed into the kitchen to make some tea.
He watched her walk past them, snorting as she walked into the kitchen. "Good morning to you too, Raven."
Starfire glanced in the direction Raven had gone, a little annoyed she hadn’t said anything to them. She smiled a bit as well, still somewhat cheerful, before yawning. “Is it morning already?”
Winston chuckled lightly. "No, it's just an expression. It's probably around 1 or 2."
“Oh,” she said. “I thought it went by quickly.” She smiled, and yawned again. She was starting to be tired, but she wanted to stay here with Winston.
"You should get to bed, Starfire. It's getting late." He frowned in the dark, slightly disappointed.
“Why can I not sleep here?” she asked, feeling like the walk to her room was a thousand miles. She felt like a little kid who didn’t want to go to bed.
"I'll end up keeping you awake." The idea of her staying out here sounded great, but he didn't wanna sound like a creep.
She sighed. “All right,” she gave in, but didn’t make any move to go to bed. She closed her eyes for a long moment instead, getting more and more tired.
He chewed on the inside of his bottom lip for a moment. She looked beat. "Do you want me to carry you to your room?"
She opened her eyes, a smile flitting across her face. “You would do that?”
Winston shrugged. "Do you really not wanna get up?"
“If it is too much trouble then I can just walk,” she offered before yawning again. The milk and cookies had really worked.
He stood up and bend over, slipping an arm under her knees and the other arm put on her back for support. He was strong for a short guy, easily picking her up.
“Thank you,” she mumbled sleepily, wrapping her arms around his neck. She felt like she would fall asleep at any moment.
"Anything for a friend," he said softly, trying his best to not jolt her with every step he took.
As he carried her, Starfire began to drift off. She wondered what would have happened if she had been able to stay awake. Probably nothing, but there was always a possibility.
He walked past the elevator and into the dorm hall, walking all the way down to the end, where Starfire's room was. He tapped the panel with his foot, opening the door and walking inside.
She fell asleep in his hold. Her last thought as she drifted off was how kind it was of him to carry her when she probably could have just walked herself. Winston really wasn’t as bad as he made himself out to be.
Winston gently sat her down onto her bed, pulling a blanket up to her neck with a small smile on his face. After a moment's hesitation, he leaned over a planted a light kiss on her forehead. It wasn't something he'd even dream of doing if she was awake, but hell, she was passed out. No one would even know it went down.
"G'night, Star," he said softly, turning around and walking out of the room.
(Should we timeskip?)
(sure)
Winston woke up on the couch, not even realizing he had fallen asleep until he woke up. He had a horrible kink in his neck from the angle his head had rested, and he was kinda sad when he found out his ball didn't glow in the dark anymore.
Starfire opened her eyes to her room, briefly wondering how she had gotten there from the living room before remembering. She still felt a bit tired, but felt attempting to fall back asleep would be futile at this point, so she got up and stretched. She knew her hair would be a tangled mess after just waking up, but decided she didn’t really care and walking down the hallway to go eat breakfast. She didn’t much care what exactly she ate, since a lot of Earth food tasted a bit odd to her anyway. She noticed Winston still on the couch. “Good morning.”
He gave her a small smile, remembering what had transpired last night. God, he was happy she didn't see him do that. Who knows what she would've done. "Mornin'. Sleep well?"
