"Yeah, your penguin could be the cook! That'll be perfect! Every pirate ship needs a cook, of course!" Azami started running excitedly around the room, Peppermint in one hand and sword in the other.
Peppermint was delighted to be played with, although she didn't know what 'Pirate' was. She heard 'prisoner' spoken once or twice, but her worry was overtaken by her excitement. The doll bounced around in Azami's grip, which somewhat annoyed her, but it was all worth it.
Ryan walked in to (wherever yall are at) and smiled.
"I'm here!!!" He yelled.
(They aren't there yet, but he can just wait in front of the house, like on the porch, maybe)
Ranaldo scoffed.
"Cook? COOK? I deserve to be the hero. Or at least the prisoner."
He glared at Peppermint, watching her relish in her joy.
Ryan said "Oop" and stood on the porch instead.
"Perfect!!" Rosie grinned. All of this talk and play had distracted her from what was going on with her father, and she knew Azami was a great friend for that.
"Ranaldo is gonna be the best cook there has ever been on that ship!" She grinned, holding Ranaldo up in the air a moment. She held him close then, right next to George. Will all three in her arms- Caramel, George, and Ranaldo- she was ready to play.
"Let's go then!"
"But being a cook is so awesome! Imagine all the types of food a cook can do. Definitely far more important than being a prisoner or hero." Caramel said to Ranaldo.
Ranaldo smiled at the embrace, but frowned at Caramel.
"Did I ask?" He said, sticking his tongue out. He then snuggled up to Rosie.
Caramel sighed and frowned. She then stuck out her tounge out. She didn't like Ranaldo much. Most of the stuffed animals didn't like him much either. They all felt. . . uncomfortable around him. Personally, she found Ranaldo to be quite creepy and a bit of a stuck up.
Ranaldo might think he was important to Rosie, but Caramel was her favorite by far. The bear had been from her mother, of course she would be important. Rosie held the animals closer to herself as she grinned at Azami. She rested her head on Caramel, her favoritism showing bright as day.
Ranaldo scoffed and put his fin on his chest.
"You dare stick your tongue out at me?"
He tried to wrench free from rosie, but her grip tightened.
"What an idiot"
"Yeah, let's go!" Azami charged out the door and through Rosie's house. When she was outside, the girl kept running, pointing her sword in the air. Eventually, Azami ran out of breath and she slowed her pace to a walk; however, when she neared her house, she took off into a run again, waving to Ryan. "Ryan! Hi! We're gonna play pirates in my treehouse! You can be… you can be the helmsman!"
Rosie giggled, running after Azami. She ran down the stairs, grinning like a lunatic. She kept going, panting a bit when they finally came to a walking pace. She let her head drop when Azami started running again, taking off after her as best she could with her arms full.
"Ryan!!" She called out, grinning. She lifted the hand with Ranaldo in it up, waving him around in greeting.
"Hi Rosie! I came to play with you guys! Ranaldo! How are you doing!"
Ryan ran up to Rosie and started petting Ranaldo.
("Ranaldo might think he was important to Rosie, but Caramel was her favorite by far.")
(Oh how I love favoritism. lol)
((Ranaldo bit rosie in the face, jkjkjk))
Ranaldo glared at Caramel, squinting his eyes, and making sure she knew that he was mad.
"Better watch it" He whispered.
Caramel shuddered and tuned away from the penguin. She had a feeling that Ranaldo wasn't kidding when he said better watch it and honestly, she was a bit scared of him. It's fine, nothing is going to happen to you. It's all going to be fine. Caramel thought to herself in a attempt to calm herself down.
((I feel bad lol))
Ranaldo smiled in victory, he had won, she was scared. He didn't know what he would do, but he knew that Caramel was the favorite, and he just wouldn't have it.
Something would have to be done.
Something…
Rosie giggled a bit.
"I didn't know you preferred Ranaldo," she said happily. She hummed some, holding the three animals close again. She rested her head on Caramel again, her smile dropping just a bit. Why did she feel like something was going on between her toys? She kept quiet about it, though, kissing the top of Caramel's head.
(Favoritism is truly the best lol)
Azami opened the gate to her backyard, and led her friends in, leaving the gate open. Her yard was rather large, with a big, shady oak in one corner, that held the treehouse. The treehouse itself resembled a pirate ship, complete with a mast, a sail, a ship's wheel, and a bell, plus a cabin in the back. Azami clambered up the ladder into the treehouse, holding her sword in her mouth and Peppermint in her hand, before throwing the toys onto the deck and sliding back down the ladder.
"I'm gonna go get my pirate clothes!" The girl dashed through the house's back door, and soon returned wearing an old, patched-up vest, and a relatively new pirate hat. In her hand, she held a ball of twine. "Rope," she explained. "For tying up our prisoner! What's her name again, Rosie?"
Ryan giggle.
"Yeah, he's so cool. I love penguins."
~~~~
Ranaldo watched in horror as Rosie kissed Caramel her head. Soething between anger and sadness tore through his chest. He wiggled, trying to get closer to Rosie, trying to grasp her attention, trying to be loved.
((It really is))
"Peppermint!" Rosie said. She looked down at the toys in her arms, then at the ladder. How to get up..? With a grin, she figured out what she would do. She lifted Ranaldo up, taking some of him in her teeth. Now with that arm empty, she was able to maneuver her way up. She hummed to herself, grinning at her own ingenuity. She set the toys down when she was up, lifting Peppermint so Azami could see her. She pointed to the tiara.
"See? It's cause she's got a candy on her crown!"
(Ranaldo: Notice me senpai!!)
(Rosie: haha chomp)
(Oh, poor Ranaldo.)
Caramel looked around in the new area she found herself in. It was quite big and from what she had seen in the books Rosie had laying around in her room, it looked like a ship. She put herself as far away as possible from Ronaldo, in case he tried to do something.
