"I'm sure you can, sir. Especially if I go down another slide." Laura continued to smile, resting her chin on her palms.
"You could win."
"I'm sure you can, sir. Especially if I go down another slide." Laura continued to smile, resting her chin on her palms.
"You could win."
Ash finished up his turn, smiling a bit.
"You could also get to the ladder that takes you straight to the win," he pointed out.
"I guess so…" Laura mumbled a little, scanning over the board. She mentally counted the spaces, nodding a little.
"But you could, too." She insisted, reaching out to spin for her turn.
Ash hummed faintly as he looked over the board.
"True. Still, I have a feeling I won't." He chuckled softly.
Laura nodded a bit, moving up the piece. It was one space away from the ladder that would lead her to the top. She doubted she'd get a one on her next turn, but who knew?
"Well, I don't think I'm gonna get it." Laura hummed softly, smiling at him.
"Mm, well tthen we both won't hit it." Ash chuckled, spinning to get a six. He moved, over shooting the ladder to the win.
"I think you did that on purpose… do you not want to win, sir?" Laura asked softly, reaching over and spinning a three. She hummed a little, dropping her piece right in front of his.
"I do, I do! I can't control the spinner." Ash laughed lightly, hugging Laura. He reached over to spin, landing on a two.
"Mmm, I think you can, sir." Laura hummed, still smiling softly. Though she sounded pretty serious about it.
"You can do a lot of great things."
"Well, even if I could I wouldn't cheat, to help either of us. I promise." Ash finished his turn, offering the spinner to Laura and hugging her a moment.
Laura nodded a little, reaching out to spin for her turn. She smiled softly to Mr. Ash, glancing back down to the game board. Reaching out, she picked up her piece, and moved it four spaces.
"Alright, sir. If you say so."
"I do. And you're almost there," he said. He spun, getting a three.
"And you're past all the slides. It's a race to the finish!' he said with a smile.
"You are too, sir. You're right there with me." Laura smiled softly, waiting a few seconds before reaching out to take her turn. She span to get a one, looking up to him with a scrunched up face.
"It's a very slow race."
Ash chuckled a bit. He spun, landing right in front of Laura and almost to the end.
"Well, it'll be drawn out then." He gave her a hug when she made a face, laughing lightly.
Laura nodded a bit, letting him hug her. While he was, she reached out to spin. Getting a two she started to move her piece.
"What do we do when someone wins?" She asked softly.
"Well, the game ends. Perhaps the winner should get a prize?" Ash smiled a bit.
"If you win… what would you like?"
Laura fell quiet, trying to think about it. She didn't really want anything. Unless…
"Um- do… do you have movies here?"
Ash nodded his head.
"Yes, definitely. Is there one you would like to watch?" Ash smiled gently.
"I- um, not one specifically." Laura replied in a soft tone, playing with the edge of her shorts.
"But watching one… I-I'd kind of like that..?"
Ash nodded.
"Okay then! We'll find one to watch then. If you win." Ash winked. He spun, getting a one and ending up right in front of Laura.
Laura gave a timid smile, nodding a bit when he spoke. After he had taken his turn, she reached out to spin, getting a two.
"What about you, sir? What do you want, if you win?"
Ash thought a moment, tilting his head.
"I think it would be fun to read together," he said finally. Ash spun, landing on a three and being just two away from the finish.
Laura smiled softly, and nodded a little.
"That could be fun…" She hummed a little, trailing off as she reached out. Spinning for her turn, she got a three, her face lighting up a little.
Ash smiled a bit. He spun, getting a one. He let out a soft huff.
"So close…"
Laura smiled softly, counting the spaces left. She was only three spaces away, now. All she had to do was get a number higher than a one.
"I just have to get a two, and I win." Laura hummed softly as she reached out.
