"I'm sure." Ash leaned over to wrap his arm around Laura again, smiling. He spun, landing on a ladder to to right behind Laura.
"I'm sure." Ash leaned over to wrap his arm around Laura again, smiling. He spun, landing on a ladder to to right behind Laura.
Laura smile softly, leaning into his arms when they were wrapped around her.
"Look, you've caught up." She hummed as she looked up at him.
"Yes, indeed." Ash smiled, holding Laura a close a moment. He gives a sweet smile, moving a bit so Laura could go next.
Laura sighed softly, looking up at him. She was still smiling as she did so. When he scooted closer to the board, she reached out to spin for her turn.
"Mm, what do we have to do after this?" She asked softly, moving her token four spaces.
"Well, dinner is at five. Other than that, we have nothing we need to do." Ash smiled a bit, his hands resting on Laura's.
"Everyone eats the same thing for dinner, but most only eat in family or friends units, not with everyone."
Laura nodded, her smile dropping a little when he first started his sentence. Though slowly she let herself relax at the reassurance.
"Right… alright, sir. I- um… are you going to eat with your friends?" She asked softly, not wanting to sound desperate for him to stay.
"I'm going to eat with you." He smiled in assurance softly, moving his arms around Laura more securely again.
"And just you. I don't want to you have to be all alone you're first full day here."
Laura gave a soft look, flicking her gaze off of him.
"I would be alright, sir. If… if you want to go eat with other people." She mumbled a little, leaning up against him.
Ash turned his attention fully to Laura, holding her close and rubbing her back lightly.
"I want to eat with you. I enjoy spending time with you." He spoke softly, keeping Laura close.
"You're really sure? We've… we've spent all day together, sir." Laura insisted, gaze trained on his face. She really didn't want to make him stay with her, especially if he'd rather eat with friends.
"I'm sure. I've had so much fun with you today, Laura." Ash gently reached up to cup Laura's cheek, leaning his head down to hers.
"You mean a lot to me, Laura, and I don't want you to feel alone here."
Laura's face grew rosy pink, her lips curling up into a small smile.
"You mean it?" She asked softly, her full cheeks still glowing a soft pink color. Her eyes were wide as she watched him, seeming to be expecting an answer.
"I mean it." Ash ran his hand over Laura's head, hugging her a moment. He smiled back, holding her cheek again.
Laura’s little smile grew before she wrapped her arms around his neck and held on tightly. She didn’t have anything to say, hoping the hug would suffice for the time being.
Ash rested his head on Laura's, smiling gently and holding her close. He patted her back lightly. He understood perfectly.
Laura held on a little longer, burying her face in his shoulder momentarily. She sighed weakly after a couple minutes, pulling back.
"Um… thank you, sir…" She whispered, folding her hands in her lap.
"You're welcome," Ash said gently. He placed his hand on Laura's head when she pulled back, still giving her a gentle smile.
Laura gave him a little smile in return, leaning into his hand when he touched her. Her cheeks were glowing rosy still, seeming pretty happy and lively at the current moment.
“Oh- um, I think it was your turn, sir.”
Ash looked at the board.
"Ah, right!" he chuckled soflty. He turned to the spinner, landing on a three.
Laura smiled softly, letting him take his turn. She watched with interest, glancing back up to him.
"We don't have to keep playing, sir. If you don't want to."
"I want to keep playing as long as you do," Ash assured with a smile.
"I'm having fun, if you are."
Laura nodded a bit at that, giving a gentle smile.
"Alright, just checking sir." She hummed, reaching out to take her turn. After spinning, she moved her piece four along the board.
Ash smiled back, looking at the board.
"You're almost there!" he said with a soft grin.
"I am?" Laura asked softly, looking over the board. With the glance, she seemed pleasantly surprised.
"Oh- I am!" She chirped, smiling softly.
Ash grinned back.
"Hopefully I can catch up…" He chuckled, spinning.
