Ashley chuckled again and nudged him playfully. “Sure, babe. I guess.”

“You do know the legend of Bloody Mary, don’t you?” Lucas asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
“Kinda? That’s the one with the mirror, right?” Ashley wondered, looking thoughtful. “I haven’t heard anything about that since middle school.”
Lucas grinned.
“That’s right,” he laughed. “I remember being terrified of that legend. I refused to go the bathroom alone, especially at night.”
Ashley chuckle at the thought and nudged him teasingly. “I’d believe that. I never payed much attention to it, honestly, so it never actually bothered me.”
Lucas scoffed, pretending to ignore Ashley’s teasings.
“Of course not. You were never interested in things like that,” he shook his head. “I was honestly the scaredy cat when I was a kid.”
“A very cute scaredy-cat,” Ashley giggled, winking at him.
Lucas leaned closer and pecked her on the cheek.
“Why didn’t my knight in shining armor save me, then?” He asked her teasingly.
“She was too busy saving her best friend from herself,” Ashley said softly, remembering how Eden had been.
Lucas’s smile dropped, remembering the time his sister closed herself off from everyone, leaving behind a shell that was once her.
“Ah, yes…” he murmured. “Then Sterling came along…”
Then he winced as if remembering something.
“I… uh… accidentally revealed something to Sterling, thinking he already knew…
Ashley narrowed her eyes slightly at Lucas. “What did you tell him…?”
Lucas swallowed thickly.
“We were talking, and he mentioned Eden freaked out when they were… y’know,” he waved his hands to prove a point. “And I thought he already knew and was just asking on how to approach her, and I said it was to be expected after what her crappy ex-boyfriend did to her…”
“Lucas… Gosh… Have they called or texted you at all since?” Ashley asked, chewing on her lip. She hoped things were okay between them…
Lucas ran his fingers through his hair, muttering a curse.
“They haven’t been… reading any of my texts,” he replied, wincing. “Do you want to check up on them?”
Ashley sighed and nodded slowly. “Do you want to call Sterling while I call Eden?” she suggested.
“Sounds good,” Lucas nodded, reaching out for his phone. “Hopefully I didn’t mess anything up…”
(Should we actually RP the conversations?)
(Should we actually RP the conversations?)
(Do you want to?)
(It would help with knowing how they went and how they ended, but we don’t have to. I’m fine with doing to either way.)
(Let’s just skip it to where they hang up.
Also…
Not it 😏)
(Ugh… Fine… 🙄)
Ashley hung up the phone with a smile. Her talk with Eden had gone really well, and even though her best friend didn’t spill many details, she had still caught the gist of what had happened between them. With a bit of prying of course.
Turning to Lucas, she rested her chin on his shoulder and waited for him to hang up. She wanted to discuss what they’d talked about.
(Sorry~)
Lucas hung up with a sigh of relief. Although his good friend Sterling didn’t say much (mostly because Lucas was his brother, and spilling details to a girlfriend’s brother was… awkward, to say the least), Lucas was relieved to hear what happened.
“Well, what did E say?” Lucas asked curiously, turning towards Ashley.
“She said that they’re good and plenty made up,” Ashley chuckled. “And when I asked what that meant, she went silent for a moment before telling me that it was ‘nothing.’”
Lucas let out a breath of relief.
“I would have jumped off a building had it ruined their relationship,” he said dramatically. “Sterling said they resolved everything and are good now.”
(I 3rd-wheeled myself. Lol.)
“I would have murdered you if you did that,” Ashley joked. “No jumping off of bridges.”
