(Okay.)
Ashley laughed as she pulled out a shirt from the rack. She held it up to herself to show Lucas, giggling.
“Think I could pull off being a watermelon smuggler?” she asked, speaking of what the shirt read.
(Okay.)
Ashley laughed as she pulled out a shirt from the rack. She held it up to herself to show Lucas, giggling.
“Think I could pull off being a watermelon smuggler?” she asked, speaking of what the shirt read.
Lucas laughed at her, grinning at his girlfriend’s silliness.
“I think you could pull of anything,” he replied. “Especially that. My watermelon smuggler. Ooh, we could snap a picture in that.”
“That would be great,” Ashley giggled, adding it to their cart. “Have you found anything I might like?”
Lucas grinned and held out a tank top.
"I think this would be great once the baby starts kicking," he said, showing her the tank top that said "You're kicking me, Smalls."
Ashley snorted, then coughed from the force of it. “All right, toss it in the cart,” she said, laughing a little. Finding a pair of pajama pants, she held them up to herself and looked down before deciding that she should probably wait to buy pants until she actually needed to.
Lucas obliged, tossing it in the cart. He took the cart away from Ashley, opting to pull it by himself as his girlfriend looked around.
"I saw this really cute fluffy hoodie that said Mama Bear," he said. "We should get that when the baby's born."
“Or we could just get it now, and I can wear it around the house,” Ashley suggested, grinning at the thought of a nice, fluffy hoodie.
Lucas nodded.
"Great idea," he said. "Ah, I have so many ideas for clothes our child could wear…"
“Well, I’m glad you’re excited,” Ashley giggled, moving closer to him so she could kiss his cheek. “I can’t wait.”
Lucas pinched her on her nose, the smile still wide on his features.
“Me neither,” he said. “I can’t wait, either.”
Ashley crinkled her nose up and gave him an odd look. “Why? Why must you do that?”
“Because you look cute,” he said before his eyes caught a shirt. “Oh, look. Does this shirt make me look pregnant?”
Ashly snickered and took it from him to toss in the cart. “Gosh, these shirts are all so cheesy. I love them.”
“Tell me about it,” Lucas laughed, shaking his head. He caught another shirt and grinned widely before pressing it against his chest, turning towards Ashley playfully. “Well, Ash, does this shirt make me look like a dad?”
“Not really, but you should get it anyway,” Ashley laughed. She grabbed another shirt and held it up. “Spoiler Alert: I’m pregnant.”
Lucas shielded his eyes dramatically.
“You ruined the surprise, Ash!” He exclaimed, feeling betrayed. “How could you?”
Ashley laughed and put it back. She giggled as she pulled a new one off the rack. “Babe, this is the best. *We’re hoping it’s a dinosaur,” she read.
Lucas looked at the shirt before nodding seriously.
“Yeah, this one wins so far,” he said. “How much more should we get?”
"Hm… I think we've got plenty," Ashley decided, chuckling as she looked at the nearly overflowing cart.
“We went overboard, didn’t we?” Lucas asked a rather obvious question.
"Maybe a little," Ashley giggled, walking over to him again to lean against him. "Should we put some away?"
Lucas shook his head.
“Definitely not,” he told her. “What went inside this cart goes home with us.”
“Okay, then. I guess we’re ready,” Ashley said, grinning up at him.
Once they were done, they sat in the car, ready to go when Lucas turned to Ashley.
“You want to grab some donuts?” He questioned.
Ashley laughed and grinned over at him. “Have I ever not wanted donuts?”
