Lucas nodded.
“I know, and it would be much better for you to take a break,” he agreed. “But I’m talking about afterwards. I want you to be able to do what you want without feeling like you’re tied down.”
Lucas nodded.
“I know, and it would be much better for you to take a break,” he agreed. “But I’m talking about afterwards. I want you to be able to do what you want without feeling like you’re tied down.”
“Oh… No, it should be fine. I think we’ll be able to work things out,” Ashley murmured through a yawn. Her eyes closed as she wrapped her arms around Lucas. “Can we go back to sleep, now?”
Lucas pressed a kiss to her head.
“Of course,” he whispered, pulling the covers over them a little more.
(Skip? Your start this time. :)
(Mean ):
Lucas’s POV:
You know, I should really not be allowed in the kitchen.
I woke up earlier than Ashley and decided I wanted to cook for her, so I went to the kitchen so fry some eggs and make toast.
See, toast is easy. I could at least make toast without burning it.
Eggs, on the other hand…
“God, I hope Ash doesn’t wake up right now…”
Ashley rolled over in bed, her face scrunching up as she smelled something burning. She reached for Lucas and immediately sat up when she didn’t feel him.
“Lucas? Honey? What are you doing?” she called, getting down from the bed and starting toward the kitchen.
Lucas laughed nervously as his girlfriend came into the kitchen. In a plate next to the stove, there was a burnt egg.
“Um, cooking?”
“Babe… We’ve talked about this. You’re not allowed to cook unattended,” Ashley giggled softly, coming to stand beside him.
Lucas pouted.
“I wanted to cook something for you,” he said, crossing his arms. “But I can’t even fry an egg.”
Ashley laughed lightly and kissed his cheek. “All right babe. Well, thank you, anyway, but how about you let me do the cooking from now on?”
Lucas’s pout deepened, but then he sighed and handed the spatula over to his girlfriend.
“I’ll buy some more eggs later…” he grumbled.
"Lucas, it's okay. Don't pout about this," Ashley said, giving him a soft smile and pressing their lips together for a moment. "Love you."
“I wanted to cook for you, though,” he continued to pout.
“You can help me cook now if you want,” Ashley suggested with a shrug. “I’m sorry, but I’m not eating that egg…”
Lucas rolled his eyes.
“I’m not even going make you eat it,” he said in reply. “There’s literally not even anything to eat from it.”
Ashley chuckled softly and grabbed the plate, then walked over to the trash can and threw the egg away.
“So, anyway… What do you want to eat, my amazing boyfriend?” she asked, turning back to him with a grin.
Lucas watched his lump of black hardwork fall into the trash with a betrayed look in his eyes.
You betrayed me, egg…
“I was hoping for some toast and eggs…”
“Then we’ll do toast and eggs. Did you happen to make toast yet?” Ashley wondered as she grabbed a few eggs from the fridge.
Lucas nodded.
“I did!” He exclaimed. “And I didn’t burn that.”
Ashley laughed lightly and set to cooking the eggs. "Great job, babe. Do you want to butter them? Or maybe but some jam on them?"
“Some butter would be nice,” he said, taking out the butter.
(Skip a few days?)
(Yup. Your turn this time!)
(Lol. All right, fine.)
Ashley sighed as she sat down on the couch. It had been a long day in her classes, and she was exhausted now. It seemed like she was feeling more and more pregnant with every passing day. If it was like this now, how would she feel when she was actually big?
“Lucas? Do we have and strawberry ice cream?” she called to her boyfriend through a yawn.
Lucas set down his textbook and furrowed his eyebrows.
“I don’t think so,” he said. “I can get some if you want?”
