(Lol.
Hm… Check up on the baby? They could go to see how many they’re having?
lol, if we gave them triplets, tho…)
(I think one is enough. 🤣)
Lucas was about to get himself some juice when a thought came to his mind.
“Hey, honey, did we get an appointment for the baby?”
(Lol. Definitely. They do not need the hassle of more than one yet.)
“Yeah, we made it the day after we found out. It’s for my eleventh week,” Ashley called from the couch as she flipped through her textbook.
Lucas nodded, taking a seat next to her.
“Right, it slipped my mind,” then I remembered something. “Hey, you wanna tell Eden? Or should we surprise her at the party, too? Personally, I feel like we should tell her first.”
Ashley hummed softly and closed her book. She turned to face Lucas and set her chin in her hand with a small smile.
“How do you think we should tell her if we do?” she wondered.
Lucas frowned before shrugging.
“I’m not sure,” he scratched the back of his head. “What if we send her a gift? Inside of the package would be the baby’s picture from the ultrasound?”
“That would be cute… Ooh, or we could send her a onesie that says ‘auntie’,” Ashley suggested with a giggle. “Now that would be adorable.”
Lucas grinned, already thinking about the surprise for Eden.
“Ugh, I totally want to do this,” he said excitedly. “What if we send both things? She would be so shocked! I wish we could record her reaction, though… what if we asked Sterling? We wouldn’t tell him, but we’d just say it’s a gift and we need to know how she would react?”
Ashley gasped, grinning. “We could get the ultrasound printed onto a onesie and put in a shirt that says ‘auntie’! And we could ask Sterling to video her reaction.”
Lucas raised his hand for a high-five.
“Yes!” he exclaimed. “Oh, she’ll be so shocked! Ten dollars she’ll stare at the shirt for a good five minutes before she even responds.”
“I’m not betting against that,” Ashley laughed as she reached over the back of the couch to high five her boyfriend back. “We should order the shirt first, and then the onesie as soon as we get the ultrasound. It’ll take a while for them to get made.”
Lucas thought for a moment.
“Hopefully it wouldn’t take a year,” he joked. “Ugh, now I can’t wait!”
“It should only take a few weeks,” Ashley explained with a shrug. “Ooh… Maybe we should do weekly baby bump pictures! See how it progresses?”
Lucas could feel the happiness bubbling off of his girlfriend. It made him happy, too.
“We should,” he agreed softly. “I would love to look to the good old days and see my wi—girlfriend’s progress.”
( whatta slip-up

(XD)
Ashley blinked at his slip up, a faint blush taking up residence on her cheeks. She knew what he was about to say, but they weren’t there yet… Though, she wouldn’t be opposed to the idea, just as long as he truly did it out of love and not because of the baby.
“It’ll be fun, too. You could be in them, and we could dress up in silly outfits,” she chuckled softly.
Lucas cursed at his slip-up. How could he let such a thing slip his mouth? He was planning on proposing, of course, but he wouldn’t do it. Not yet. He wanted Ashley to know he was sticking beside her because he loved her, not because of the baby.
“I always wanted to dress up into a onesie dinosaur,” Lucas mused to himself, pretending not to acknowledge his slip-up.
“Oh, we should definitely do that when the baby’s bigger! I’d be a fat dinosaur!” Ashley laughed as she imagined it.
Lucas laughed, shaking his head.
“We should do the shark one when the baby gets bigger,” he said to her. “We could re-enact Baby Shark.”
“Well, I’ll be big for a while, so we could just do both,” Ashley chuckled, smiling at him softly.
Lucas shrugged a little.
“I don’t really like you calling yourself fat,” he frowned. “You have a tiny human growing in your belly. You won’t be ‘fat.’”
Ashley’s nose twitched as she looked at him for a moment. “Okay… Sure, Lucas. It was just a joke, though.”
(Why did her nose twitch? :o)
“Oh,” Lucas blinked. “Sorry, I don’t think I have that great of a sense of humor.”
