(Ooh, I actually really like that! I was just confused XD It would clear some things up too! Maybe they mistakenly erased too much memory for Arsen, or didn't realize they didn't get enough on Joanna. Maybe when she told him her feelings, he admitted feeling the same, and then they started dating, and from there things got tricky for everyone else?)(And I've gone through it like seven times, and still couldn't find it- I mean like applause to you)
Joanna caught sight of his tension, and wasn't sure what to do. Well, she did know, but she didn't want to touch him, or help him. But thoughts of the mission failing filled her head, so she sucked it up and let out a short breath. "Yes, we've loved the beach so far though, haven't we honey?" She asked with a smile, laying her hand on his, rubbing her thumb over his knuckles in a soothing manner.
(Yeah! Maybe they shouldn't do enough to Joanna, because from what I've seen about her, she doesn't have the same worshipful love of the System that Arsen does… I make it my personal mission to know all the things I write, although I tend to fail it, and then feel so embarrassed when I forget, because, I mean, I write these things, I should know this already, damnit!)
He sent her a smile that bordered on uneasy, and stretched his fingers carefully. He knew she didn't want to do this, and didn't want her to do it for as long as she had to - was he really being nice to her? He shook his head slightly.
Jake smiled, the smile making him look friendly and inviting. "Good, good. I'm glad." His eyes held a deep, penetrating sadness as he looked at them, one which Arsen did not particularly enjoy, but did not comment on.
(She really doesn't mostly because she doesn't care for the fact something is confining her. I do my best as well, but sometimes things just slip your mind, especially if the characters don't talk about it or your RP goes on hiatus)
Joanna caught sight of his smile, feeling her spirits lift some. Maybe this wasn't so bad. She slid her hand down into his, giving it a tender squeeze. Her eyes were wide, and a more vibrant green than usual as she turned her head to face Jake. And then a thought struck her head.
It was random, and sudden, but it wouldn't go away.
Her brow furrowed some, and she seemed to be rather deep in thought. Trying to just think. 'He looks… so familiar…' She questioned in her own head, before realizing she had probably just caused a ton of awkward tension. "S-sorry, I've been having problems of my mind wandering lately." She apologized, her brighter expression fizzling.
(That's true. Maybe it's a mix of both? Or you have simply written too much information to remember, and you are in a billion and three roleplays… totally don't know anyone like that…)
"Don't apologize, sweetheart," Luna said, reaching over to hold Joanna's other hand. She saw Arsen holding Jo's other hand and the oddest expression flashed over her face before it was gone. "Don't ever apologize for not being as strong as you want to be. It just means that you've been too strong before. You need to have balance." She turned to Arsen. "Which is why I'm glad you have him." She didn't say Lucas, he noted.
(Yeah that sounds good to me- though, we could always be doing this in the PMs…And same man)
Joanna nodded, seeming a little awkward at her statement. She knew they were suppose to be cousins, but it was a little strange that she was so close. Though Joanna herself was never close with family, so maybe this was normal. "Yeah, I'm really lucky to have someone like him." She gave a sweet smile, looking over her shoulder to Arsen. "I'm definitely a lucky lady to have him."
(Oh, probably, but are we going to? Not likely. And what are you talking about? I thought I was the only one like that XD!)
Luna smiled. She and Jake glanced at each other, then away. Pulling her hand away, she clapped her hands suddenly. "Come on. Let's eat!"
Arsen blinked at the woman's strange change in behavior and sent Jo a sideways glance that conveyed all he was thinking into one loaded look.
(Lol, we should though so it doesn't get confusing XD Bruh, I woke up with like 13 notifications and all but three were RPs)
And Jo picked up the look. She herself giving him on of her own. With a shrug, she ran her thumb over his hand one last time before pulling away. A light smile on her lips after holding his hand. It felt good in a way, his hand was warm against her cool skin, though not really cold. She folded her hands in her lap, and leaned over a bit closer to Arsen.
(I can make a pm, I guess. I was on here literally three hours ago and had no notifications, and I come back on and there are 14, all of them roleplays….)
It was odd, Arsen thought, that they seemed to know exactly what the other person was thinking, just with one look. He shrugged to himself. When she let go of his hand, it immediately felt cold. He frowned in confusion before turning back to Luna and Jake. "So… what do you recommend, to eat?"
(Lol we didn’t have to XD and bruh, I’ve had that happen, it’s rather stressful)
“Oh I always get the special.” Luna laughed, putting a hand on her husband’s arm. “Though Jake likes to get the steak.” She spoke for him pulling away.
Joanna nodded, glazing over her menu. “Sounds good.” She mumbled, letting her thoughts wander a bit as she read the menu.
(And then we do create one and have nothing to talk about XD… and isn't it, though? Couldn't they have at least waited until I answered one before answering?)
"The stake?" Arsen asked. He pointed at the meat section of the menu. "There are literally three different kinds of steaks." He grinned. "Which one do you mean?"
(To answer both, RIGHT!?!)
Luna looked at Jake, and then back in the menu. "Wasn't it the second one on the list darling?" She asked, pointing to it. "Yes, I believe so." He said shortly, a gentle smile was on her lips. "Right, right, yes it was this one." She told him, and showed him which one she was talking about.
(I know. I'm so smart. Not.)
"The… fish steak? That's a thing?" He frowned in confusion. "Why? Why did anyone think that was a good idea to create?" He shook his head in amazement.
(We can always work on more plot stuff, like the more logistic stuff :PNot, Not smart)
Joanna half snorted, lightly bumping his arm. She gave him a look that said Funny, but not now. Before she turned back to her own menu, and trying to keep from giggling. Luna laughed lightly, folding her hands in her lap. "It's rather good, if you're willing to try it."
(Yeah, we probably should… I have ideas ish on how to do that…)
"No. I hate fish," he said, grinning at Luna, moving easily into the kind, easy-mannered character he was supposed to play. "I'll get something else." He glanced at Jo. "What're you getting?"
(Please do spill)
"I wasn't sure, I'm not that hungry." She shrugged some, leaning over and resting her head on his shoulder. "I was thinking maybe some kind of soup." Whispering, she told him, pointing at the soups section on the menu.
(So… I don't know… I was thinking that instead of having Luna as Joanna's cousin, she's Arsen's sister, and his memories of her were only recently wiped, like, weeks ago. And she can't tell him that she knows him because otherwise the System will kill them. And maybe the entire thing is a plot on the System trying to take over the world, and the guy they're trying to kill is really on the good side, and the leader of the rebellion against the System? Idk.)
Arsen glanced at the soup options. He frowned, considering, as his eyes fell on beef chili. A faint memory sparked up, then vanished. "Alright." He turned to the Powells. "You guys ready to order?"
(That puts a huge twist on things, but I love it. It explains why he doesn't remember much about the two of them being friends. I think it could work)
Luna smiled softly, nodding some. "Of course, whenever you're ready." She told him. She looked at the two fondly, seemingly a little distraught. Joanna caught a glimpse of her before she sat up straight, and set her menu down. "I'm ready too."
(Cool! And maybe ideas can happen!)
When the waiter came to their table, Arsen ordered his stuff, and once the others had ordered, and the waiter had left, he turned to Jake. "So, how has your work been lately?"
((Ideas?))
Jake shrugged some, spreading his fingers apart and shaking it slightly. "So, so. It's been rough, but we've gotten through it. One of our best employees had to get fired, sadly." He sighed, but a small smile was on his lips.
(Don't ask, I don't know what I'm saying… yet. I have no ideas, but I probably will, in the middle of the night, when I'm trying to sleep.)
"Who was it?" He asked, tilting his head curiously.
(XDD ME, like big time. I might eventually think of something.)
Jake seemed to stiffen a bit, but tried to relax at his wife's glance. "W-well, it's funny. He had a rather unique name, but it's been a couple of stressful weeks." He laughed awkwardly, trying to brush it off.
(Yeah! And then we can compare ideas and then we will finally know what on earth we're doing - actually, that's a bit of a stretch.)
"Okay…?" Arsen frowned in confusion. "Would I know him or not?" He wondered at their looks. Something was up with them… what was going on? Did they know that he and Jo were just acting?
(Aha Yeah, maybe a little bit. I'll try and actually devise plot stuff. Maybe then we can use our chat)
Luna laughed to, in attempt to join the conversation. "The boy wasn't very popular, I seriously doubt you'd know him." And at that, Joanna was incredibly weirded out. "I, I need to use the restroom. Excuse me." She said softly, standing up and walking towards the bathrooms. She didn't know why, but something made Joanna leave that table.
(Exactly!)
He frowned, glancing at Joanna in confusion. "Um… okay?"
((Lol))
Luna let out a short breath watching her go. "Is she alright? Do you know if it's that time of month?" She asked softly, trying not to ask too many insisting questions.
