Told you so,
She rolled her eyes, and sighed. "Oh whatever." She smirked some, sliding her phone in her pocket, "Alright, off to the hotel!" She chirped to herself walking off. "Oh shoot!" She thought of something, pulling her phone back out.
How are we going to get there?
Arsen hadn't actually considered that. Dunno, he texted back after a moment. You want to impress her, or blow her mind?
Joanna was surprised at the response. 'What on earth is he thinking?' She asked herself, her fingers typing a response.
What the heck? What do you mean?
I'm not poor, ya know, he answered. I did inheirate everything from one of the richest men in the country. Do you want a nice car, or a great car, for the evening?
She bit her lip, weighing her options. Tonight would be the night to have a great car, we need to keep a low profile at the party. She sent back in a reply as she pushed through the spinning door on the front of the hotel. So, we'll go with a great car tonight. She smirked coming to the elevator.
Fine. He sighed dramatically, even though she couldn't hear him, and phoned a company, going to get a car for the evening.
She looked at his dry response and chuckled lightly. "Such eloquent wording." She hummed watching the lights flash by.
Arsen went to wait for her in the main room. He sat on the couch. He had just gotten word that the car was waiting in the parking lot, and so he couldn't wait to go.
Joanna pushed the door open, and jumped a bit at seeing him. "Oh- hey." She greeted shutting the door with her heel.
(Sorry 'bout not responding right away! Again.)
"Hey." He nodded his head in brief greeting. "The car is here. You ready to go?"
(It’s ok! I’ve noticed you haven’t really been online lol)
“Let me change into the dress, then I’ll be ready.” Joanna responded with a light smile. She quickly ran to her room shutting the door.
(Thanks… I feel so bad… but my internet has had problems, and it sucks!)
"Good." He stood and stretched, carefully straightening his tie, and waited for her.
(Again, it's OK. My internet has been sketchy before )
She quickly changed, and walked out of her room. Her hair was curled, and she had a ton of makeup up on. But she was trying to fit in. She smoothed her dress down, and cleared her throat. "Ready?"
"Yep." He eyed her makeup before shrugging. It was fine. She would blend in. He jerked his head at the door. "Let's go."
“Let’s, and get this night over so we don’t have to do this ever again.” She muttered sharply adjusting The strap of her heel.
"Amen to that." He shook his head in annoyance and opened the door for her, eying her heels. "You sure you can walk in those?"
"Dude, I've been wearing these since 5th grade." She said walking gracefully over to him. She wasn't lying, but these were completely different then what she normally wore. These were much taller, and not as sturdy as some of the other ones she had worn. "I'll be fine."
"If you say so." He sounded unconvinced, eyeing them suspiciously, then shrugged. Oh well.
"Lead the way, before I decide to call her and cancel, totally ruining our whole operation." She muttered the last part under her breath, watching him carefully.
He rolled his eyes, opening the door for her and holding it open. He gave a mock bow. "Ladies first."
She shook her head, resisting the want to role her eyes. "Thanks." She mumbled walking out.
He led her out the door and down the hall. The elevator was empty of people, thankfully, and Arsen leaned against the shiny, reflective walls of the thing, staring into space. When it stopped, he led her to the car he had bought, a beautiful one that looked expensive, but mostly blended in. Mostly.
She clicked her tongue, attempting to look unimpressed by the car. "It's nice." She replied simply, in a monotone voice. "Is there a driver?"
"Me." He smirked slighly at her. "Come on. Tell me the name of the place again?"
"Oh god we're going to die." She frowned opening her door and getting in. "It's called the Ice House. It's suppose to be the top trendiest place when it comes to dining, all the hot celebs go when they're in town."
