Lulu clenched her teeth, giving it right back at him behind his back and following him down the hall. "Do you have any idea where you're going, Eric?"
Lulu clenched her teeth, giving it right back at him behind his back and following him down the hall. "Do you have any idea where you're going, Eric?"
"…Sort of!" He said, keeping a determined stride. "I'll figure it out!"
"Mhmm." She hummed, raising and eyebrow and following him nevertheless. "You don't have a clue."
"I'll figure it out!" He repeated, defensively.
"Yeah. Okay. Whatever," She said with a sigh, quickening her pace until they were walking side by side. "She's not really your little sister, is she?"
"Well, not biologically… or legally… but it doesn't fucking matter!" He said, quickening his pace.
"Alright, whatever," She responded, suddenly not angry anymore. "I think I might have an idea as to where she went. What did she play?"
"Drums, why?" He asked, tilting his head.
"The smallest drum room in the facility, then. Have you ever seen Men In Black?" She scoffed, grabbing his hand and leading him down another hallway.
"Yes, but I was ten and not in a good state." He said, following her. "Care to enlighten me?"
"The smallest room is always the best for interrogating. Drum room, because it will give her a familiar vibe and get her to talk more easily. The small drum room here is all-walls, and it's also near the exit, so even if she's not there, we'll follow her if she left in a vehicle," She explained, coming to a halt at a small door placed in front of a little, walled cube. There were no windows, and the entire thing was sound-proof.
"I already hate this…" He muttered, trying to open the door.
"It's locked," She obeserved, jiggling the handle a little more before pulling herself and Eric away from the door. If there truly was someone inside, they'd be annoyed by Lulu trying to get in and might open it.
Eric knocked. "Hello? Kath? You in there?" He asked, trying to seem casual.
(is magic allowed…? All of my character's 'magic' can be boiled down to science like in the MCU, but still…)
A small squeak came from inside the room as the door opened just a crack, then shut again with a slam - as if someone had glanced outside to see what all the commotion was about, then found it not worth their time.
((yES))
"Kath? Kath, it's me!" Eric said slightly relived. "Lights came back on and we couldn't find ya!"
((Alright! Do you want the run-down of Lulu's powers?)
There was a slight bang on the door, as if the person inside was telling Eric to shut up and leave. "Eric," Lulu said quietly. "I don't think she's in there willingly."
((Yes please, if it won't be annoying))
"I figured, I'm trying to act normal. So they won't know we know." He hissed.
(Alright. She used to be very shy and quiet, but experiments at an center for emotional care went awry while she was nearby, and she was too terrified to do anything, so she absorbed the blast, as well as some cranial damage. The brain damage changed her personality to an angry one, and now she can turn emotions into a physical force.)
She considered this for a moment, eventually nodding. "But how are we going to get her now? Acting casual won't get us anywhere with whoever they are," She told him, gesturing towards the door.
"I'll think of something." He said, drumming his fingers against his thigh. "You okay in there Kath? Need me to come in?"
Lulu's eyes widened as she realized something. Something she hadn't done for years - there was no need - but something that was perfect now. She grabbed Eric's arm and twisted him towards her. "Quick, tell me something that will make me angry."
"Uhhhh… you're music is shit." He said, saying the first insult to pop in his head.
"That'll do it," She said, rage starting to boil in her again. Come on, come on…channel it, Lulu, she told herself, holding out a hand in deep concentration. Sure enough, a thick, charcoal black smoke started to seep from it. Now, she smiled. "Thanks."
"Um… I have a question. Actually, several." He said, horribly confused.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll explain later. Just don't die," She told him, chucking the smoke at the door. It cracked, but didn't break, and a small shout of anger was heard from behind the door, as well as a yell of fear.
