Lulu cursed under her breath, stepping around the place. The lights were so fluorescent before that she couldn't see a thing now. "Um…anyone there?"
"Over hear!" Eric called out, squinting. "Who is it?"
"Lulu Vohra. Who're you?" Lulu responded, taking a couple steps towards the voice.
"Eric Lyndon." He said, tripping over something and falling backward into a door. "Shit!"
((Lowkey named him after the lead singers of The Sex Pistols and The Dead Kennedys.))
((honestly mood))
"Here, no, you're fine," Lulu hesitantly felt around before taking his hand. She wasn't usually one for physical contact, but he'd tripped.
"Thanks." He muttered, groaning as he got up. "The fuck was in there, damn…"
"I don't know. Here, I think there's a carpeted room somewhere over here," Lulu said, helping him across the hallway.
"Thanks…" He muttered, walking along with her.
"It's nothing," She answered. She remembered the room to be an office of sorts, and it proved to be true as she turned the handle and stumbled inside, feeling around and finding what felt like file cabinets. "It's an office."
"I thought the offices were upstairs." He said, furrowing his brow.
"Well, apparently not this one. Weird, I haven't seen it before," Lulu said, walking cautiously around the dark room and pulling Eric with her.
Eric rested his and against the wall, accidentally knocking a frame off. "Shit, hold on-" He bent down to pick it up, only to have something fall out the back of it, thick paper falling to the ground. "What the-"
"I can't see anything, Eric," Lulu told him, bending down to feel what he'd dropped. "You dropped a manila folder. A thick one."
"And it was behind a frame… why? That makes no sense." He said, blinking rapidly. "Shit, lets just find a fuse box… or a flashlight."
"Flashlight, flashlight…smart," She decided, letting his hand go to feel around a desk and open a drawer. Her fingers closed around a cold, cylindrical object…with a rubber button. Smiling to herself, she pressed it. A small white light shone on the papers.
"Thanks, I sometimes am." He said, blinking as his eyes adjusted before looking at the folder. "To Take? The fuck does that mean?"
"I don't know. Open it," Lulu suggested, coming around the desk. The light flashed briefly over her and she blinked in surprise before returning it to the folder.
He opened the folder, taking out a few sheets of paper. "Uhhh… Johnny Truce, Deceased. Trixie Tye… Deceased. Klaus Fighter… Deceased." He said, hesitating on the last two names. He started flipping through, eyes going wide. "Musicians, all deceased. Six pages of 'em, front and back."
"There's another thing. Taken. That sounds really creepy," She whispered, hushed. "Sherry Tango…Stella Atlas…"
"Goddamn… I was raised on half these people's music…" He muttered. He looked at the last page. There were three names with nothing written next to them.
Eric Lyndon
Lulu Vohra
Kathleen Jett
"No…"
((Context: Kathleen (the drummer) is pretty much his little sister and he is fiercely protective of her, and tends to put the people he cares about miles ahead of him))
((mhm))
"Eric…" Lulu asked, looking up at the darkness that was his figure. "Why are our names on this list? Why are we on the Taken list?" Her voice was getting angrier and panicked as she continued to talk.
"Does it look like I fucking know?" He snapped, trying to hid his panic. "Why the hell is Kathleen's name on the list? She's never done shit!"
"I don't KNOW!" Lulu yelled, her anger finally exploding. She breathed heavily for a few moments, shutting her eyes. "Sorry," She said shakily, looking down at the papers again. "I have anger management issues."
"Never would have guessed." He muttered. "It's fine." He stared back down at the paper as the lights switched back on. "Shit, hide!"
Lulu turned off the flashlight and looked up at him after the lights turned back on, her face quickly turning disdainful. "Oh. It's you."
