Jayden glanced at Nolan and nodded in response. "Yep, just tired." I hope.
Jayden glanced at Nolan and nodded in response. "Yep, just tired." I hope.
Nolan nodded, moving a few steps closer. "I don't think the floor is a very comfortable place to sleep."
"Should we move him to a bed?" Jayden asked, glancing at Nolan as he moved closer.
"Probably. We might need Maddy's help, though. I don't think I can carry him." Nolan turned to yell into the living room. "Maddy! We need you in here!" She walked in and noticed Taylor on the floor, concern immediately flooding her features. "What happened?" She asked. "He's asleep. We need you to help us get him into an actual bed."
"Yea, where's the closest bedroom? It's been a while since I've been here," Jayden asked, glancing at the two before glancing at Taylor to see how they would pick him up.
"His bedroom is probably closest." Maddy replied. "Um… Nollie, can you go open the door?" She asked. Nolan nodded and ran off down the hall. "I'll get his feet, you get his head?" She suggested to Jayden. "He doesn't weigh too much, so I don't think we'll have too much trouble."
"Sounds good." Jayden nodded before going to lift Taylor's head up, glancing at Maddy before looking at where his bedroom was.
Maddy grabbed Taylor's legs and steered Jayden to Taylor's bedroom. Once they got there,, they carefully set Taylor on the bed. "He hasn't been sleeping much… he says he has, but I know he's lying. I can tell."
"Yea, I've been trying to get him to sleep more but he just keeps saying he's an adult and knows what to do." Jayden sighed after they had set Taylor on the bed.
"He does that…" Maddy sighed as well and sat beside Taylor. "He overworks himself a ton since mom isn't ever around."
"Yea, I want to help him but he won't let me either," Jayden mumbled, also sitting beside Taylor.
Maddy nodded. "He won't let us help either. We've offered, but he always refuses. I want to get him some help, but we don't have much money."
"I probably could, but I don't what I should get to help him." Jayden also nodded, resting her head against the wall.
"I'm not sure, really… I think a counselor or therapist of some kind would help him, but I know he would say he doesn't need it."
"Yea, that sounds good, I'll book him an appointment." Jayden made a mental note to book an appointment for Taylor.
"Do you think he'll go?" She asked, looking up at Jayden.
Jayden looked at Maddy. "I don't know, but if he doesn't, I'm dragging his ass no matter what he does."
Maddy nodded. "Thank you… he won't admit it, but I know he needs it."
"Oh, you're welcome," Jayden replied with a smile before glancing at Taylor. "We should probably leave him now."
"Mhmm." Maddy stood up and left the room quietly with Jayden.
Jayden quietly closed the door and sighed after they had closed it. "You guys can go play now."
They nodded and ran off into the living room to play video games again.
Jayden sat down in a chair somewhere before going on their phone to see if anyone had texted them, looking a bit surprised when someone had texted them before quickly replying.
Taylor slept for a good few hours. Finally, he began to stir, groaning softly as he did so.
Jayden was on their phone since they had taken a nap for a while.
