Eclipse blinked, "I-It was kinda cool…." he murmured, not wanting to mention that he'd been a little distracted.
Eclipse blinked, "I-It was kinda cool…." he murmured, not wanting to mention that he'd been a little distracted.
“Thanks…” Felix replied, “You alright, though? I wasn’t really able to check up on you during the fight because I was so focused on protecting you.”
"O-One of them got my shoulder…" he said softly, "But.. I.. I think I'm okay.."
"Oh… thank the gods that's all," Felix sighed.
He very gradually started to push himself upright, but he ultimately decided to lie down again. Felix was incredibly out of breath.
Eclipse nodded, "A-Are you okay?" he asked, watching theother's failed attempt to get up.
Felix gave a curt nod.
"I'm surprised I was able to shift into such a form at all…" he mused, "It's left me completely depleted…"
Eclipse nodded quietly, still a bit nervous as he inspected his still bleeding shoulder again. "I… I suppose I should deal with this.." he mumbled.
"Yes, go ahead," Felix said, "I'll just be here, giving myself a few minutes to recharge a bit."
His eyes widened a bit.
"Oh gods, these are guards. We need to hide the bodies, don't we?"
Eclipse tensed at the thought, but finally nodded.
After a few minutes, Felix managed to sit up. He frowned as he looked across his body to see the various wounds he’d collected from the fight.
Eclipse had pulled off his shirt to stem the blood from the wound, and was watching tensely as the other moved.
Felix chose to ignore the cuts; at this point, they were only bleeding a tiny bit. He wiped some of the blood from his face, but it turned out to be more than he realized. He covered the cut on his nose with his sleeve.
Eclipse watched him nervously, wincing as he applied pressure on his own wound.
Felix weakly started to make his way back over to the cart to grab his bag. He got out the bandages and offered them to Eclipse after tearing some off for himself.
Knowing that Eclipse wasn't able to see over the edge of the cart, he slipped down his pants just past the wound on his leg and swiftly bandaged it before covering up again.
Eclipse took it gratefully, trying to wrap his wound after he'd stemmed the bleeding.
“Alright, let’s get these guys up in the cart, and we can go dump them off in the woods or something,” Felix suggested, “Maybe take their horses with us too, and we can make travel more efficient by swapping out who’s pulling.”
Eclipse nodded, finishing the bandages. "O-Okay…" he murmured, shifting to wolf form, the bandages stretching, and padding to drag one of the men over by his collar.
Felix climbed out of the back of the cart and went to lift up the woman. He draped her over his shoulder and pushed up with his legs to lift her up. He threw her in the back of the wagon, panting and straining a bit.
Eclipse whined softly, hoping the other asn't hurting himself further as he went to get the next one.
Felix stopped to rest for a moment, leaning up against the cart.
"What's up?" he asked upon hearing Eclipse's small whimper.
"Th-this is all my fault.." he mumbled, having dragged over the second guard.
"I made my choice," Felix corrected him, "None of this is your fault. Trust me, you'll start feeling better when you stop blaming yourself for anything and everything."
Eclipse nodded, ears flicking back sadly.
Felix picked up his flask and took a few sips of water, then got back to work. He hauled the second person up into the cart and his vision started to blur. He held onto the side of the cart to keep himself upright.
Damian brought another over, studying Felix worrriedly, "You okay?" he asked softly.
