Eclipse simply continued to let himself sob, unable to do much else as a lot of his emotional barriers temporarily crumbled.
(FYI, that did actually happen, and resulted in his mother's murder.)

(Dang… okay. This poor boy. Must protecc.)
"Keep crying if you need," Felix reassured him, "It'll probably be good for you. You've been holding back a lot."
If he need? Eclipse was physically unable to stop at the moment. I mean, he's been dealing and living through this since he was born.
(Oof ouch… my heart kinda hurts tbh)
Felix made sure to keep his touch as gentle as possible. At the same time, he was fighting off his own tears. Gods, he wanted to cry for Eclipse.
(offers hugs?)
Eclipse kept crying for a long time, until finally, he ended up crying himself to sleep. Something he'd been doing nearly every night for years.
(Thanks! takes hug)
Felix kept holding Eclipse as he slept, cradling his body close in a protective manner. He felt so drained, as this was the most human emotion he'd seen in a while; much of his lifestyle forced him to be a loner- not that it's what he wanted.
He shifted just enough so that he was comfortable and his side didn't hurt at all, and then started to drift off as well.
(Hugs you)
Eclipse was leaning into Felix' grasp sleeping peacefully, tear mars on his face, claw marks seeming more obvious than ever on the left side of his jaw.
(Mind if I skip ahead a bit?)
(Not at all!)
Felix, having slept a lot already, woke before Eclipse did. He saw the claw marks on his face and reached out to touch them with his fingers, which glowed a pale green with magic. He wasn't sure what was scarring and what wasn't at this point, but he healed what he could on the other's face.
But overall, Felix noticed that he was feeling a good bit better personally. The wound itself hurt differently than before, perhaps more, but he felt functional and less tired.
(They were already scars, but hey, he probably got new cuts from the last beating)
Eclipse was still asleep, peaceful for once. He didn't look sad, or hurt, or beaten, or even broken, all of which he was. He looked like someone who could have hope…
(I figured as much. Good to know though.)
Felix continued to let Eclipse sleep. He found his hand going through his hair distractedly. All he wanted to do was comfort him and protect him. He hummed a little tune quietly.
Eclipse subconsciously leaned into his touch, though he frowned a little, not used to being touched with any form of affection.
Felix smiled as he felt Eclipse's attempts to be closer to him, even in his sleep.
You really need someone, don't you? He thought. I'm glad to be that someone, but I wish it wasn't me that you needed… I'm a horrible person.
Eclipse did need someone, someone who could maybe teach him to live, and trust again, somehow.
Felix leaned his head back, trying to sit mostly still until Eclipse woke up. He was sure both of them could use the extra rest.
Eclipse sighed softly in his sleep, not about to come back to reality.
As Eclipse was still sleeping soundly, Felix lifted up his shirt slightly where unhealed wounds were, and he sent a bit of magic through, just enough to speed up the process of healing, as he wasn't sure how much energy he had to spend at the moment.
Eclipse twisted in his sleep, his head on the other's shoulder.
Felix lifted his hand away from the wounds.
"Hope that helps…" he whispered, "I know you wouldn't have taken it while awake, but you needed it."
Eclipse started to wake up about fifteen minutes later, bloinking slowly.
"Hey," Felix whispered, "Have a good sleep?"
Eclipse looked up at him in sleepy confusion, before sitting up and scooting away in a burst of fear.
Felix's eyes widened a bit.
"Eclipse, look at me. It's okay," he promised, keeping his voice as even and calm as possible, "You're fine… It's okay…"
Eclipse took a deep breath, forcing himself to relax again, "I-I'm sorry…" he whispered.
