Sophie smiled at her. “Hey, you wanna get a drink?”
Sophie smiled at her. “Hey, you wanna get a drink?”
"Sure."
“Alright.” she smiled. “I know a bar on the other side of the park we can go to. And if you want… I can teach you how to hustle a pool table.”
"Ooh, sounds fascinating."
She nodded. “It’s a lot of fun. And, as long as you don't get caught, a quick way to pick up some extra cash.” Sophie had to admit. There were a couple of times when she had been caught… but any fight you can walk away from wasn't that bad, in her opinion. Though she certainly wasn't going to let Raven get tangled up in one of those.
Raven laughed a little. "Ah, of course, of course."
Sophie smiled at her as the bar came into view, a little relieved that she didn't seem to mind this little pastime. She got more than an earful from Jade when she found out.
Raven didn't mind. Sure, it was questionably legal, but she doubted Sophie pulled in enough money from it for it to truly damage anything.
Sophie certainly didn't do this professionally, it was mostly just for fun… and to make a certain possibility seem as unlikely as possible.
She smiled over at Sophie again.
Sophie smiled back, opening the bar door wide for Raven to walk through first.
Raven went in, looking over at te other woman.
Sophie smiled back as she let the door close behind her and guided Raven over to a couple of open seats at the bar. “What do you like?”
Raven shrugged. "Surprise me."
“Alright. Just give me a hint so I can make it a good one.” she smiled. “Gin, rum, or tequila?”
"Mm…rum." she said, smiling back.
“Alright.” she smiled back, flagging the bartender over. “Two strawberry mojitos.”
She stretched quietly.
The bartender nodded and started making the drinks.
Sophie smiled as she leaned back in her seat. “You know, this has been a great first date. Never knew Jade was a matchmaker.” she chuckled.
"Yeah, it has." she agreed, smiling at Sophie.
“How long did you and Jade know each other again?” she asked even though she was sure that she already had.
"Ah…I'm not sure."
“A while then, at least?” she supplied.
"Yeah, a while."
Sophie nodded, accepting the simple explanation. It didn't really matter anyway. Jade wouldn't set them up if they didn't know and trust each other. Besides, things were going well.
