Skye sighed, "You need to eat:" he said,
Skye sighed, "You need to eat:" he said,
"I am eating." Lucas shrugged, taking another small bite of the quail.
Skye nodded, "I know, but there's no need to worry about getting more."
"Mhmm… saving some of it means less work down the road, though."
"Hunting isn't that hard, It's matter of luck and care" he said softly, "So don't worry about it"
Lucas shrugged again. "Still can't hurt to be prepared."
"True" said Skye softly.
Lucas finished eating some of his portion and then put the rest with the leftovers. It was still more food than he usually ate, so he felt okay.
Skye nodded, having eaten most of his share, putting the rest away so he wouldn't make himself sick.
"Alrighty… are we gonna get moving now?" Lucas stood up and stumbled, holding his arms out so he wouldn't fall into the fire. He was still doing his best to not put weight on his foot.
Skye was instantly on his feet to support the other, "Yeah we can move out now.." said Marco.
Lucas put out the fire and, once they'd gathered all their things and Skye had transformed, got onto the wolf's back.
Skye let the other climb on, before letting Marco shift and take the lead. Soon he was at a light, yet fast pace, dashing through the trees, eyes looked on the raptor high above them.
Lucas held tightly to Skye so he wouldn't fall off. While Skye's wolf form was large, he was still smaller than a horse or other large animal people typically ride.
(Do note that Skye's wolf form is much larger than that of an average wolf)
Skye made sure the other wasn't too unsettled by his stride as he ran.
(Yeah but there's no way he's as big as a horse right? And I'll just time skip unless you want something else to happen)
They ran all day, only stopping once for lunch. They found a clearing in another forest to set up camp.
(No, but closer than a normal wolf, the analogy I use, is that a Nelvaron wolf's ears, (Excluding Lunas which are another type of Nelvaron Wolf) come up just past a hippogriff's shoulders, (Don't ask why I used a hippogriff as a reference)
Skye was a little out of breath when they finally stopped, but otherwise fine. He let Lucas dismount, before padding around the clearing a few times, stretching his limbs.
Lucas sat down and started making a fire again from where he was. He seemed to have a weak form of telekinesis with which he could bring some sticks towards himself for the fire before lighting them with fire magic.
Skye carefully padded up beside him, shifting and laying a hand on the other's shoulder. Soon he was gently strengthening the othr's aura, making it easier to do what he was doing.
Whenever Skye strengthened his aura, Lucas shivered. It was a strange feeling; like an energy surge through his blood. His heart would pound faster from the influx of magic, and the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.
Skye made sure he wasn't hurting the other, waiting till he was finished before pulling back.
Lucas's body relaxed after Skye released him, and the fire crackled in front of them. "That'll do…"
Skye nodded, hugging him.
"This journey is going to take some time… but it's worth it to get away from my father and the hunters." Lucas warmed his hands by the fire.
Skye nodded, pulling the other into his lap and burying his face in the other's neck.
