Skye kept going, sticking to the same pace as his paws thudded into the soft earth.
Skye kept going, sticking to the same pace as his paws thudded into the soft earth.
"W-When will we get there?" Lucas wrapped his arms around Skye's neck for stability.
"It'll be a few days travel, if not weeks before we can get out of the hunter's range." answered Skye.
"Alright…" Lucas fell silent, closing his eyes again.
(Timeskip till that evening?)
(Sure)
(You or me?)
(You I guess?)
(Okey!)
Skye had noted the sun setting, and had slowed considerably, looking for a place to stop as it got darker. soon he stopped in a small clearing near a ledge, and Marco landed nearby.
Lucas shakily got off of Skye, straightening his clothes a bit as he looked around. "H-How far are we?"
"A good few leagues…" said Skye padding around him to stretch.
"Okay…" Lucas wasn't entirely sure what that meant, but he figured he should just sit down for now. Having not eaten anything substantial for the past week was starting to take a toll on him.
Skye wanted to lie next to him, but he figured he'd better hunt instead. He was just about to say something when Marco landed near him, shifting back to human form. "I'll do the hunting, you stay with Lucas" he said, before running off in the form of a wolf.
Lucas watched Marco run off, hoping he was decent at hunting. "I-I'll… go ahead and make a fire." Lucas stood up and gathered some wood and decent sized stones. He built a little campfire and used his magic to light it.
(Marco ran off, not Skye, he's less underfed than Skye is.)
Skye lay next to him as the other lit it, knowing Marco would bring food.
(Oh shoot lol)
Lucas sat by the fire, shivering slightly. With the darkened sky brought the cold, and he was particularly susceptible to it.
Skye shifted, laying his jacket around the other, before shifting again and lying next to him, offering the warmth of his thick fur.
Lucas smiled softly and started petting Skye again, knowing he'd be doing it for a while. At least until Marco came back with food, probably.
Skye smiled, "Put the jacket on properly, it'll keep you warmer.." he said, nudging the well worn leather, which had a soft inside, and a hood.
"Alright…" Lucas pulled on the jacket and continued petting Skye, wrapping his other arm around his body to preserve more heat.
Skye sighed, shifting to do up the coat, before shifting back and wrapping himself around the other so he wouldn't get cold.
(?)
(Sorry my computer glitched)
"I c-can't believe it got so cold so quickly…" Lucas wrapped one arm around Skye's neck, continuing to pet him that way while he drew his knees up to his chest. He almost always felt cold anyways, so it was just that much worse when it was actually cold.
Skye curled around him trying to keep him warm and near the flames.
