"Well what am I gonna tell the counselors? They'll probably ask me where you are since they've more than likely noticed we've gotten a bit closer."
"Well what am I gonna tell the counselors? They'll probably ask me where you are since they've more than likely noticed we've gotten a bit closer."
"Ugh, good point…" She thought for a moment before snapping her fingers. "Tell them I got sick and my parents picked me up! That should work right? Wait, how are you not freaking out right now?"
"Do I really look like the kind of person that has the mental capacity to care that you're a human butterfly?"
She stared at him for a few moments before she started laughing. "That's great! Actually, I'm not a butterfly though. I'm a Lillith. It's possible that I'll grow horns and a tail too."
"Well for the sake of simplicity, I'm just gonna call you a butterfly."
"Alright. You should head back. They'll be looking for you soon." She got up and kissed him on the cheek before laying on the grass.
He waved with a slight smile before heading back to the cabin, slipping in with the other guys and heading up to his bunk without a word.
(Ok, do we wanna skip to when she comes out? I think it'd be the next night when that happens.)
(Yeah that would probably be for the best)
~Timeskip™ brought to you by an amber cocoon~
Angel emerged from the cocoon and leaned against the wall for support. She slowly made her way to the waterfall and looked at her reflection. Dark black and purple, feathery wings had sprouted from her waist, horns protruded from her head, curving back and looping around to her cheeks, and she now had a scaly tail that reached to the floor and had a spade at the end. "Wow."
(Horns: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/652740539718083515/ the one that loops back to the cheeks. Only difference is there's no notches in hers and they're purple and black.
Tail: https://petephoenix.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/ketu2.jpg hers only has one end though and is purple and black.)
Jay had managed to shake off the counselors and even though he was still worried about Angel, he decided it was for the best to leave her be.
"Shit, how am I gonna hide all this?" she said to herself as she quietly slipped out into the open. It was dark out so she wouldn't have to worry about anyone seeing her so long as she didn't get too close to the campsite. "Perfect." She walked around in the woods trying to find a good clearing. It would take about an hour for the blood to flow through her wings and tail so she could use them properly. Once that happened, all she needed to do was figure out HOW to use them.
Jay was laying in his bunk, staring up at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep. He hadn't taken his meds on time and now they wouldn't kick in until later.
She had learned how to take off, but landing was a different story. She always ended up tripping or crashing into trees. She did however figure out how to use her tail to grip things. "I can't wait to show Jay!" She took off running in the direction of the campsite but suddenly stopped as soon as it was in view. "Wait, I can't be seen." she whispered to herself. She knew for a fact that some of the workers walked around at night to keep the campers from sneaking out. I'll just wait here then. She climbed into a tree and waited there until morning.
When morning broke, Jay headed down to the lake like he had the past few mornings. He had his sketchpad again and was planning on drawing the woods on one side of the lake. He liked having the same picture from different angles, it made him remember it better.
Angel spotted Jay below her and quietly dropped down behind him. She suddenly grabbed him by the shoulders, leaned in and whispered, "I killed Mufasa."
(I saw an opportunity and I took it XD)
"What the-?!" He tensed up and whipped around, smacking whoever was behind him hard in the face with his sketchpad. Jay had an extreme fight or flight response and his was almost always fight.
"Ow." The winged girl placed a hand on her face and started laughing. "I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to scare you THAT bad."
"Jeez, don't sneak up on me like that!" He grumbled. "You're lucky I was holding my sketchbook and not the pencil or else you wouldn't have an eye anymore!"
"Ok, ok I won't!" She put her hands up in mock surrender. "So, how do you like my new look?" she asked, spinning around.
"I like it. Not so sure I would've gone with purple and black since it's kind of typical and it's hard to disguise but that's just the artist in me talking."
"Eh, well, it's not like I had a choice." she shrugged. "Besides, I really like purple."
"I don't know, seems like a kind of plain color to me. Never understood why so many people like it."
"Well, what's your favorite color?" She walked over to a tree and sat down motioning for him to follow.
"Scarlet. That kind of red-orange, I really like it. I think it's beautiful."
