I'll be there in just a sec!
Joey came outside in sweatpants, a fluffy coat, and a beanie. "Is this warm enough for wherever we're going?" He asked.

Joey came outside in sweatpants, a fluffy coat, and a beanie. "Is this warm enough for wherever we're going?" He asked.
Sol smiled when he saw Joey. “Yeah, that’s perfect,” he said. “You ready to go?”
"Mhmm!" Joey climbed onto the back of the bike and held tightly to Sol. "I'm ready!"
Sol grinned and took off, heading towards the edge of of the city. It would have taken a while, but his bike was fast (maybe magically enhanced, who's to say?) and he knew a few shortcuts.
Joey hid his face during the journey, obviously nervous at the speed. "When are you gonna tell me where you're taking me?" He asked curiously after a while.
“We’re almost there,” Sol replied, raising his voice to be heard over the wind. “My sister owns some property on the edge of town.”
"Oh, really? What's on the property?" He asked, confused. He looked up a bit so he could try and figure out where he was.
“Not a lot, just a house and a bunch of trees. We go there when we need an escape from the city,” he answered. “Oh, her dog lives out here, too. His name’s Aster.”
"Ooh, doggie! Why did I need to dress warm, though?" He asked, resting his head on Sol's shoulder.
“My plan involves being outside, but I’m not saying anything else until we get there,” Sol laughed.
"Alright, alright. I'll stop asking questions." Joey laughed softly and kept quiet until they arrived.
When they arrived, there were already lights on in the house. Sol had flown out earlier to make sure everything was good before bringing Joey.
“Okay, the surprise is in the backyard, so we’ll have to walk the rest of the way,” Sol said, getting off the bike and holding out a hand for Joey.
Joey still looked pretty confused, but took Sol's hand anyway and followed him closely. He kept a close eye on all of his surroundings, curious as to what the surprise was going to be. This place seemed pretty ordinary so far…
Sol led them out past the house into a copse of trees. In the middle was a small clearing where he had set up a sort of picnic, minus the food. There were a couple blankets grouped on the ground and a bunch of pillows. Sitting to the side was a telescope and a few books.
"Ooh, pretty!" Joey picked up the pace a bit, approaching the little clearing so he could sit on the blanket with Sol. "So it's a picnic?" He asked to clarify, smiling brightly.
“Pretty much,” Sol replied with a smile, settling down on the blanket. “I thought we could read and star gaze. Also there’s a fire pit closer to the house, so we could move there if it gets too cold.”
"Okay!" Joey leaned against Sol and let the glamour on his wings vanish so that he could sit more comfortably. "What all did you bring?" He asked curiously.
“A couple constellation books, that book of fairytales I got the other day, and some others I just grabbed,” Sol said, taking off his jacket so he could extend his wings. “Also enough blankets for at least six people.”
Joey nodded a bit and huddled up in a blanket, adjusting it so he could huddle up and still have his wings poking out the back. "Mmmm~… sounds good to me!"
Sol laughs softly and leans over to nuzzle Joey’s hair gently. “Want to read first or look at the stars?” he asked, wrapping his wings around them.
"Mm… look at the stars, I guess. I'm pretty comfy." Joey smiled softly and huddled up against Sol, humming softly to himself. "Do you like stars?"
“Mmhmm… where I grew up, it was far away from any cities, and light pollution wasn’t really an issue then, anyways, but… I’d look at the stars every night. Kris taught me a few constellations and I was hooked,” Sol murmured, gazing up at the sky before glancing back at Joey. “They’re constant and beautiful. No matter where I go, I can see the stars.”
Joey nodded a bit, keeping his eyes fixed on the stars. "I don't really know much about them, honestly, but I've always thought that they're really pretty. Neither of my siblings really particularly care, honestly. They were too focused on their training."
“I can show you a couple constellations, if you’d like,” Sol offered, smiling softly at Joey. He looked so pretty in the starlight that his heart almost hurt.
"Yeah, sure!" Joey smiled as well and looked to Sol for guidance with the stars. "How do you find them if the stars are supposedly moving all the time?"
