Joey purred softly as well, seeming pretty content for the moment. He kept quiet until it was time to go, at which point he sat up and stretched.

Sol blinked slowly, having started to doze off cuddling Joey. “Ah, sorry, are you ready to go?” he asked, sitting up with a soft smile

Joey nodded a bit. "Yeah… gotta head back now, unfortunately. You ready?" He asked softly, getting to his feet unsteadily.

“Need to put my shoes and a jacket on, then I will be,” Sol replied, rising and stretching. “Want to change back into your pants? They’d be more comfortable on the motorcycle. Oh, you can keep my hoodie, if you like.”

"Yeah, I probably should…" Joey looked down at his clothes and flushed at Sol's offer. "A-Ah, um… thank you! I'll go… uh… put my pants on." He hurried into the bedroom to change, coming back out a minute later with his pants on.

Sol retracted his wings and put on his shoes and jacket while Joey changed. When he returned, Sol smiled and went to open the door.

Joey followed Sol closely out the door, climbing onto the back of the bike when he reached it. "I'll hold on as tight as I can…"

“If you feel like you can’t hold on, squeeze twice and I’ll pull over, okay?” Sol said, getting on the bike in front of Joey.

Joey nodded a bit and held onto Sol as well as he could, thankfully able to hold on without needing to pull over. "Thanks for taking me home…" He said softly.

“Of course, estello,” Sol replied with a smile, getting off the bike. Once they were at the door, he gently took Joey’s hand and leaned down to press a kiss on his knuckles. “See you soon.”

"See you soon." Joey smiled gently and headed inside, locking the door behind him. Thankfully, he drank plenty and had a small bit to eat the next morning before he went to work.

The next day, Sol had to meet with his sister and her lieutenants about gang business. Nikora and Akali were both present and asked about Joey. After the meeting finished, Kris pulled him aside to ask about Joey, though for different reasons.
He had a couple other errands to run, and texted Joey when he could.
Sol: hey joey

Joey went for a jog before work and got ready, heading in on time and starting to organize the books as usual. He perked up a bit when he felt his phone vibrate, pulling it out of his pocket and smiled softly upon seeing it was Sol.
Hey. How are you?

Sol smiled as he walked towards his next destination. He was meeting with a wood nymph about better wards for their territory, and she insisted on meeting at a vegan coffee shop.
good! it’s been a busy morning already. how’re you?

Pretty good, actually! Better :)
Joey yawned a bit and glanced around, making sure that there weren't any customers in the store. He was alone for now, and had been for quite some time.
Had a bit of a granola bar this morning, water, had a nice jog… feeling pretty good.

errands to run, K gave me a lot to do
Sol sat down at the coffee shop, waiting for the dryad. Hopefully this wouldn’t take long. He wondered if Joey would still want to hang out, or if he needed a break from Sol’s company.

Joey stretched a bit, wincing as his back cracked. He was still a little bit tired from the previous night, but definitely felt considerably better today.
That's alright. Are you still coming over to visit?
He hummed nervously, hoping he wasn't being too clingy.

Sol smiled in relief, texting Joey back right as the dryad arrived.
of course! looking forward to it

Joey relaxed a bit as well, feeling more reassured that Sol still seemed to want to spend time with him.
Me too! See you soon <3

A couple hours later, Sol finally left the meeting with the dryad, having finally come to an agreement about wards and payments. He checked his phone and saw it was almost one o’clock. Stars, the day had been packed.
one more errand to run, do you need anything?

Joey was sitting at the desk, humming idly to himself and assisting the occasional customer whenever they came in. He glanced up when his phone buzzed again.
No, I'm alright. Thank you, though.

Sol stopped by the store to grab a few things. He couldn’t get much as it had to fit in his saddlebags. Leaving the store, he headed towards the bookshop to see Joey.

Joey perked up a bit, waiting quietly for Sol to arrive. When the bell from the door rang, he got to his feet and grinned brightly. "Sol!"

Sol smiled as he opened the shop door and saw Joey. “Hello, estello,” he greeted happily, stepping inside. “Got here as fast as I could.”

"Hi! It's good to see you." Joey came around the counter and hugged Sol, still grinning. "What sorts of things did you have to do before you came, hmm?"
