Even now he is considerate of others… “I ate when you were asleep earlier, I’m good for now,” Sol replied, brushing Joey’s wing.
Even now he is considerate of others… “I ate when you were asleep earlier, I’m good for now,” Sol replied, brushing Joey’s wing.
"Okay… if you're sure." Joey shivered lightly at the touch and held tighter to Sol. "What time is it?" He asked softly. "I don't know how long I was asleep…"
“It’s around six o’clock,” Sol answered, glancing up at the clock. “You slept about five hours.”
"Ah… really?" Joey sighed softly, looking away. "That's a long time… sorry. Hopefully I'll still be able to sleep tonight."
“It’s alright, estello, you needed the rest,” Sol said gently, nudging Joey’s temple with his nose. “I’m sure you’ll still sleep, the elixir will help.”
Joey nodded a bit, curling up a bit more. "Yeah, I guess you're right… what are we gonna do until I gotta go to bed, though?"
“Whatever you want,” Sol replied, arms wrapping around Joey. “We could finish the movie, read, go somewhere, or just relax.”
"Mm, yeah… we should probably finish the movie." Joey sighed softly. "But then we gotta mooooove…"
Sol laughed, the action shaking Joey a bit. “Unfortunately, yes, but the couch can be comfy, too. We can bring blankets and pillows.”
"Mmmmm… okay…" Joey held tighter to Sol, making no attempt to get up. He just adjusted his wings so that they weren't in Sol's way.
Still laughing quietly, Sol shifted so he could get up while still holding Joey. “To the couch we go, then.”
Joey rested his head on Sol's shoulder as he was picked up, holding his wings in such a way that they wouldn't drag on the ground. "Mm… am I being too needy?"
“Not at all,” Sol answered with a soft smile, gently setting Joey on the couch. “It is, ah, in the nature of Fey to protect and care for our ma-… for our loved ones. I like taking care of you.”
"Ah…" Joey flushed a bit and hid his face in Sol's shoulder, wrapping his wings around himself. "W-Well… if you say so. I want you to be happy too." He said softly.
“I am,” Sol replied, kissing Joey’s head. With another smile, he returned to the bedroom to grab some pillows and blankets. When he came back, he settled next to Joey, spreading the blanket over them.
Joey huddled up in the blankets, burrowing into the with a soft trill like before. Once he was settled, he leaned against Sol and relaxed, seeming to have calmed down from earlier.
Sol purred softly, nuzzling Joey. “You good, sweetheart?” he asked as he put an arm around the smaller male’s shoulders.
Joey nodded a bit, fluffing up his wings for a moment as he huddled closer. "Mhmm… m'alright. What time should I go home?"
“I can take you home whenever you want,” Sol answered. “You could stay over if you wanted, I have a spare bedroom.”
"Mm… thanks for the offer, but if I do end up going to work, I'll probably need my own clothes." Joey laughed softly. "Yours don't fit me all that well."
“True, but you look cute in them,” Sol said with a soft laugh. “Just let me know when you’re ready to go.”
"Yeah, yeah…" Joey flushed again at the compliment and looked away. "Probably in an hour or two, I dunno."
“Will do, sweetheart,” Sol smiled, fluttering his wings. “Ready to finish the movie?”
Joey nodded a bit, drawing his own wings up to cover the lower half of his face. "Yeah, I'm ready whenever…"
Sol hit play on the remote he grabbed and settled back into the couch, arm still around Joey. He purred contentedly, resting his head on Joey’s.
