"Do..do you have to go back to Hell?" Grayson asked, concern coating his face. Maybe he would miss Seth, maybe he wouldn't. It was too soon to tell. But he didn't want him to go back to his father.
"Do..do you have to go back to Hell?" Grayson asked, concern coating his face. Maybe he would miss Seth, maybe he wouldn't. It was too soon to tell. But he didn't want him to go back to his father.
Seth shook his head. "Not for a while…" he says quietly. He looked up at the clouds and shook his head. "Not for a while… Not until I come of age at least." he sighed and ran a distressed hand through his hair.
"When do you come of age?" Grayson shifted his feet, shivering slightly. He was almost 20, already an adult. "You can't be that young..especially if you're the oldest of thirteen.." He thought out loud.
He chuckled. "Of age in hell is much different to of age on earth. Of age in hell, it's about 150 years of age." he hums as he ruffles his hair before placing his hands back in his pocket. "The second oldest, Damien, is about 98."
"H-how old are you??" Grayson gaped at him, wrapping his arms tight around his chest to keep from shivering. The wind picked up and blew towards them, making Grayson shrink back towards Seth.
Seth thought for a moment before saying quietly, "135." He replies. He chuckled softly before running a hand through his hair. He noticed the other shiver and pulls off his jacket. "Here." He smiles. "The rain is easing up. Why don't we head home."
Grayson looked up at him, shock coating his features. “You-y-you’re 135?!” He stammered, pushing Seth’s jacket back towards him, blushing slightly. “Right, right. Okay um..let’s get some food first.” He said quickly, turning away and touching Seth’s arm gently so he would follow.
Seth chuckles quietly. "Yep. Pretty crazy right?" He looks at the coat and shakes his head. "The cold feels nice. Thank you though." He smiled. When food was mentioned Seth perked eagerly. "Yes please!"
Grayson shook his head again and gave Seth the jacket. "Okay, it's only a couple blocks away." He left the safety of the awning and rushed across the street, glancing behind him to check if Seth was still there.
They eventually got to the small restaurant and headed inside, immediately enveloped in delicious smells and warm air. Grayson let out a breath and walked up to the counter.
Seth made sure to follow after Grayson, humming happily as he does so. He looked at the other as they made it to the shop. He giggles softly as they enter, inhaling the sweet smell of baked goods, and sighed happily at the warmth of the shop. He followed after Grayson, double-checking that his tail was out of sight.
Grayson ordered his usual meal and turned to Seth. "Get whatever you want, just not the whole shop." He said, turning his bag around to rest on his chest so he could fish out his wallet.
Seth nods before just settling on a sandwich and a hot chocolate. He had never had chocolate, so he wasn't sure what it would taste like. "Hey Grayson?" He asks softly. "what's chocolate like? Is it yummy? Should I have ordered that?"
“Hm? Oh, of course. Chocolate is amazing.” Grayson replied, leaning against the counter as they waited for their food. “Do you want to eat here, or at home?” He asked, folding the receipt over and over in his hand.
"Either one is fine." He mutters softly and sighed softly before shaking his head and sighing. "And chocolate sounds great right now." He says as he looks around, seeming very relaxed.
Grayson yawned slightly, nodding and walking over to a small table in the corner. "Let's just stay here. It's too wet outside." He said, setting his bag down and walking up to get their food when his name was called.
He handed the food to Seth and sat down with his own, a sandwich and iced coffee.
He smiled warmly at the other, noticing the small yawn. He settled down at the table and tapped his well manicured hands on the table. Seth took the food gratefully, w cute 'thank you' leaving his lips. He mildly wondered what he could do for the other in return for housing him. But for now he focused on his food.
Grayson let a small smile grace his lips and began eating his food slowly, occasionally taking a sip of coffee. "How is it?" He asked quietly, glancing up at Seth. He pulled his hood off and ran a hand through his hair which was slightly damp.
He opened the sandwich and chewed on it thoughtfully. He looked down before giggling softly. "It's yummy!" He hums as he looked down, before tenderly taking the hot chocolate and sipping it. He perks and begins to slowly chug it down. He looked super happy as he drank.
"Christ. Slow down, you're going to through up if you keep drinking that fast." Grayson muttered, gently tapping Seth's cup. He was alright with paying for food for Seth and maybe clothes too if he needed them, the necessities and all that. He could always get more shifts at work if needed.
Seth chuckled and slowly stopped. "S-sorry. It's really good." He giggles softly. "Thank you." He mutters softly before shaking his head and sighing happily. "Thank you." He mutters softly as he looked happy. "I really like it though before looking at the other before relaxing.
"It's okay. Just don't choke or anything." Grayson smiled a little, finishing his sandwich and sipping his coffee contentedly. "Have you ever had any food like this before?"
Seth finishes his sandwich and he smiled a little bit before looking up at the question. "N-No. I've never tasted anything like this before." He replies quietly, his eyes soft before shaking his head and taking another sip.
“Oh, is there anything in particular you want to try?” Grayson asked, sipping his coffee cutely. “There’s a lot of restaurants for broke college kids around here.”
"Not at the moment, I'm pretty full from just that." He mutters as he nuzzles into his jacket. "So… This is what the human world is like?" He asks curiously.
“Yup. Most people just mind their own business around here though, it’s pretty calm.” He said, nodding a little. “This city is mostly college kids and young families but if you go about 40 miles south of here there’s another larger town. My brother and parents live there.” He added, looking down at the table.
