“Please don’t hurt me..” Grayson whispered, his knees tucked up against his chest. He sucked in a breath when Seth took his hands, pressing his forehead against his knee and squeezing his eyes shut. His breaths were uneven and quick and he gripped Seth’s hands like a lifeline. “I didn’t do anything..I didn’t do anything..” He whispered over and over again.
Seth's eyes are concerned. He was slightly unsure how to handle this type of thing. He gently held Grayson's hands, muttering soft assurance. "I'm not going to hurt you Grayson. I promise." He whispers, running a hand though his hair. "You didn't do anything. You're okay. You're safe." He whispers gently.
Grayson let go of his hands a couple minutes later, seemingly calming down a considerable amount. He stretched one of his legs out in front of him let his shoulders slump, eyes still closed. He brought one of his hands up to his neck, monitoring his pulse and counting down slowly from 60. “Just..give me a couple minutes..” he told Seth between long shaky breaths. “Happens a lot..”
Seth let him take his time. He let him breathe. He sighed softly as he gazed at Grayson. "I'm really sorry man… I just hate it when people pick on others. It's not cool." He shook his head before sitting back and letting Grayson have his space. "Take your time. We're in no rush."
“It’s okay..” he murmured, slowly opening his eyes but not looking at Seth. “I’m just weak. It’s my fault he was there in the first place.” He said, brushing off his shirt and taking a couple more deep breaths.
Seth just sat beside him. "You're not weak though." He mutters softly. "Weakness, Grayson. Is giving up. And trust me. You haven't given up yet. You're still here. And if you want I can help you. I know advice from a demon isn't much…" He sighed.
“I gave up years ago. It doesn’t matter now. But thanks anyway.” Grayson muttered, his hands still a bit shaky. “Just gotta take meds and hope for the best.” He sighed, beginning to get up.
Seth nods and sighs softly before standing, helping Grayson up. "Alright… So… What now?" He asks quietly, unsure about himself.
“We can get some food if you’re hungry.” He suggested, steadying himself on the wall for a moment before standing up straight.
"Food sounds nice." he says happily as he follows after the other, humming as he helps the other steady before pulling away and smiling at the other.
“Okay. What do you want?” He asked quietly, walking slowly with his hands in his pockets. He glanced up at Seth, then back at the ground. “Thanks for earlier by the way..”
"Anything really. I haven't tried much human food." He says happily as he looks around. "And it's no issue. I agreed to protect you." he states as they walk.
“There’s a good Indian place near here. Do you like spicy food?” Grayson asked, nodding and pulling his hood over his head as it started to drizzle lightly.
"I love spicy food." He giggles, humming as they walk. He looked up at the sky. "What is that?" He asks quietly. "It feels nice…"
“It’s..it’s rain.” Grayson looked up at him, frowning slightly. “You’ve never seen rain, have you?” He turned the corner, swerving to avoid a small group of people.
He shook his head as they walked, looking down sadly. "No… I never… I never really got out of hell much…" He whispers.
“Oh. Yeah, right. Sorry.” Grayson muttered. The rain suddenly picked up and started pouring down, leading Grayson to grab Seth’s arm and pull them under an awning in an attempt to stay dry. “It wasn’t even supposed to rain today.” He sighed, leaning against the wall.
Oof sorry I thought I replied.//
Seth looks up when it starts raining harder and he giggles softly before looking around. "it's very nice…" He mumbled softly. He liked the rain. It smelt clean. Fresh. He let his hand catch some of the droplets.
"Yeah, it can get kind of annoying sometimes if it rains a lot." Grayson said, glancing up at Seth with a small smile. He pulled his hood up over his head and watched the rain beside him, enjoying the soft pattering of the rain falling on the awning above them.
Seth smiled a little. "It's so pretty… It never rained in hell. Well… it did. But it was acid rain." He says quietly. "As the son of Satan, I was expected to take over once I was of age… But it was something I didn't want. Here… I like it here better." he says softly, a little smile on his lips.
Grayson smirked slightly, thinking. “So..technically..you’re the prince of hell?” He asked quietly, glancing up at Seth, tilting his head.
Seth shrugged. "Technically. And I'm the oldest of 13." He sighed. So I'll have to fight my brothers to prove my worth." He frowned, clenching his fist. "I grew up as a killing machine. Before I realized… I had to hurt my brothers. I had to find the quickest way out. So I told my dad I found a human." He mutters softly. "That I wanted to prove my worth before I became ruler." He runs a hand through his hair. "That's where you came in." He chuckles. "Don't worry. I'm not actually going to do anything. More like just lounge around and help around the house. Pick a fight or two with people who mess with you."
