Kain had let the spirit go and it slowly dispersed then he turned to Ava and hugged her for comfort
Ava took a deep breath, masking her true feelings once more. However, Ethyn's words triggered her defense/escape mechanisms, and her mind immediately whirled to life, her gaze darting quickly around them, looking for an escape. She suddenly didn't want to be here anymore. Her heart raced, and she thought it was so loud that probably anyone could hear it, though that wasn't true, of course.
Kain could tell that Ava was scared so he looked up and tapped her arm so she would look down to him
"Sorry," Ethyn said, rubbing his eyes "I just have a lot riding on me. I need to get home and find my-" He cut off and stared into the distance for a bit before finishing the sentence "-friend."
Kye looked around at the people around him. Then he looked at where Hosea had disappeared. A vehicle came around the corner and came to a stop next to them. The window rolled down and Hosea smiled at them. "Get in, we have probably a five hour drive ahead of us," he said.
"Yay." Ethyn said, not sounding very enthused. He got in the back against the window and leant his head against it.
Kain could tell that Ava was scared so he looked up and tapped her arm so she would look down to him
"Hm?" Ava looked down at him. "Come on, let's get in the car," she gently guided him inside the car, taking a seat, but her whole body was tensed up.
Kain had took his bag from his back and opened it on his lap grabbing an item that looked like a simple toy but was actually a ring that he handed Ava and said "For luck" his little smile lighting his face
Once everyone was in, Hosea pulled out onto the road. "I'm anticipating a few stops along the way so, while you need to make an effort for to stay calm and not draw attention to yourself, stay on your toes. People are out there looking for us," he warned. Kye nodded in agreement.

Ava carefully took the ring, unsure what to do with it. "…thanks," she whispered, before enclosing it in her fist. She ended up staring out with window absentmindedly, not really paying attention to anything going around her. At Hosea's words, she just nodded, staying silent. She was used to having to mask her emotions. And as for staying on her toes… she was always suspicious of new things… usually.
Kain slowly drifted to sleep as the car traveled and went into a dream of his family, he had started crying in his sleep.
"Hey miss," Hosea looked at Ava through the rearview mirror. "I'm afraid I, first of all didn't catch your name, and second of all, may have come off as a bit over friendly. I apologize if I made a bad first impression."
Ava's head jolted up, as she heard a voice she wasn't expecting. But her gaze finding Hosea's eyes looking at her through the rearview mirror, she relaxed a little. Not another new person. That was good. "I'm…" her voice trailed off. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to give him her real name, or a fake one. After some moment of thought, she decided, it was safer to give him a fake name for now. But if they somehow got closer in the future, then she could give him her real name. "…Emily," she finally finished. "And over friendly? Hah," she scoffed, changing subjects. "In fact, it was the exact opposite." Ava looked away, her gaze landing on Kain's soft face as he slept. He looked so peaceful, almost relaxed. The only thing that determined that he wasn't quite relaxed was the tears trailing down his face. "Hey, little one," she whispered, shaking his shoulders slightly. "You okay?"
Ethyn shot Ava a confused glance before wincing at the headache forming behind his eyes. He then leaned his head into the front. "Hey, where are we? I haven't been out and about in years, my sense of direction is all off."
Kain slightly waking up as Ava shook him but hiccups took him from the crying the tears still falling as he nodded that he was okay not able to find his voice yet
"Ah, c'mere kid," she whispered to him, as she held him closer. It was a strange feeling, indeed, but he was so small. So vulnerable. So innocent…
Kain hugged Ava his tears still falling
Hosea glanced at Ethyn through the rear-view mirror. "We are headed currently headed towards the next major city over. And before anyone asks, the bigger the city the harder it is to be tracked. I found it easier to hide from people right under their nose. The closer to the danger the farther you are from it," he explained. "If y'all really want to disappear for good, I might be able to help with that."
Kye shifted slightly, but looked like he'd fallen asleep. His arms crossed in front of him and his chin resting slightly on his collar bone.
"What's the city called?" Ethyn asked, leaning back into the back, undoing the seat belt and sitting crosslegged in his chair.
(Heck Idk…. \O~O/)
(just say something like - 'Hosea told him')
Hosea explained where they were going, and then pulled off the road. He'd stopped kind of suddenly, and not at any rest stop. They were kind of in the middle of nowhere. He put the vehicle in park and turned to look at everyone. "While I have your guy's attentions, I need to make sure you all understand what we are doing. I'm not pulling you out of this city just for the sake of it. This is based off two things. One, you're all trying to get away from something and you're having some difficulty getting off the map. Two, y'all ain't weak. You don't really need my help, or Kye's for that matter. The reason some of you ended up here was by chance, and others because Kye found you. I have no doubt in my mind that you could take care of yourselves. That means that if I point you in the right direction you could start out sprinting. All you need is a nudge in the right direction, which is why I believe you ended up here."
Ethyn narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Your point is…?"
"You want to get off the map, which I can help with, but ultimately you don't really need my help," Hosea explained. He turned back around and continued driving. "You'll understand a bit farther into this journey. If you don't figure it out sooner. You're smart, I think you can."
