Ethyn narrowed his eyes further. "Off the map? I dunno about that." He put his face in his hands. "God I wish Zach was here-" He muttered.
Ethyn narrowed his eyes further. "Off the map? I dunno about that." He put his face in his hands. "God I wish Zach was here-" He muttered.
Ava sighed. "The only reason I'm here is because some really annoying government people showed up and now I'm here. If it were my choice, I'd probably be still hanging around back in that city area."
Kain looked at Ava with his big blue eyes "but then I wouldn't have met you" he had grabbed the stuffed fox out of his bag and hugged it close
"Oh sure, you would've. Just not as long," Ava replied.
Kain tilted his head
(also if you look up young mikaela hyakuya you will know what Kain looks like)
(Okii. Kain's so cute btw)
"Yeah… eventually I would've left the apartment," Ava explained.
(i know he is tiny bean)
Kain looked down
Kye shifted slightly. "You've left the apartment as soon as everyone went to bed," he said calmly. " I knew that was what you were planning, considering you never unpacked anything."
"No… I would've stayed the night, and then I would've left… early in the morning," Ava explained. "And… that probably would've been the last you saw of me. I avoid staying with someone more than once."
"Not a bad strategy," Hosea commented. "Like I said you already have this figured out. All I'm really doing here is being an uber driver."
Ethyn looked up and gazed at Hosea. "What's an Uber driver?"
"Someone who drives people to where they need to go," Hosea replied with a half smile. "In the same sense, I am going to attempt to get all of you where you need to be."
"Right. So a taxi driver? Sorry, I'm immortal and have been the fbi's prisoner for a few years, I missed a lot." Ethyn said rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, I heard about you actually," Hosea glanced in the rear view mirror at Ethyn. "I was making plans to get you out but then you managed it by yourself. Another reason for me to say that you don't need my help for anything other than putting you in the right place. Or the place you want to be. All of you." Kye opened his eyes and glanced side long at Hosea, but said nothing.
Ethyn made a face at Hosea. "You knew? How?"
"I… may or may not have infiltrated a few of their most secure bases…" Hosea looked like he was obviously trying to hide a smile. "There is a probability that I tend to get into the places I am not suppose to be."
"That's an understatement," Kye muttered.
Ethyn gave him a genuine smile. "Like Zach! He's great at that kind of stuff! He'd get on so well with you guys if he was-" He fell silent and frowned, turning away from them to look out the window.
Kain looked around in confusion and couldn't understand some of the words because of the ringing in his ears
Ava wanted so badly to say something, anything, something to comfort Ethyn. But she couldn't, her mouth wouldn't move. And it didn't matter much anyways, since she knew how he felt. Ah, sweet, sweet Katie. No, a small voice inside her said. You can't do this to yourself again. Do what? She hadn't been doing anything to herself, had she? …had she? Regardless… it probably was her fault that she had let Katie go. She should've kept going, kept trying to find her. She should've… You're doing it to yourself again. Don't blame yourself. Don't listen to the voice, don't listen to it. Of course it's my fault, I was her caretaker…
"Is Zach still around?" Hosea asked blatantly. Kye looked at Hosea with something on his face.
Ethyn slipped forward and ended up sitting in the space between the front and back seats. He bit his finger and whined. "Please don't die because of me Zach." He muttered, "Don't come looking."
Ethyn clicked back to existence and turned with a struggle to Hosea. "Oh yeah, he's just in an unstable condition. He can't leave the house with out me there to sustain him and if he comes looking for me-" He trailed off, not sure how to continue in a way they would understand.
"If he comes looking for you he'll die." Hosea finished. "So, where would be a good spot for me to take you so that you can find him?"
"Pretty much yeah." He said before biting his lip and trying not to break down. "I don't know! I can't remember where I started! I don't know where we are! I haven't been here since-" He went silent, thinking. "Late 18 hundreds? Early 19 hundreds?"
(also happy birthday)
