He turned to her with wider than usual eyes. “Really? Are we safe to?” He asked, his black fingers tapping the platform the two sat on. Exploring sounded wonderful actually. He wanted to know what the rest of the world looked like. The feeling and the sounds and smells. He wanted to know it all.
Chrysa nodded and stretched a little, "Yeah we should be fine too. We just need to keep to the outskirts and stick on top of the buildings. Police may be around looking for you, but they should be sticking to the ground and center of the town for now."
“Yeah, they’re pretty stupid” he shrugged. “How do we get down though?” He asked leaning over and looking down with wide eyes. He never understood anyone having the fear of heights. Yeah, he could very well fall. But if he did he would feel as if he could fly. That would be so exhilarating and amazing. He almost wanted to jump, though knowing it would be stupid, he didnt
Chrysa thought for a moment not having thought that far ahead. She was deep in thought before she got an idea, “I know. I’ll carry you down. At least until you can get proper climbing equipment.”
“Carry me?” He scoffed. “I’d rather jump” he says, wanting to jump a little. For the thrill of it.
“Are you sure there isn’t any other way? I dont want to be some sort of princess or something being carried down by my knight” he rolled his eyes. Obviously he would be too embarassed.
“Unless you think you can scale down the wall by yourself,” Chrysa started. She wouldn’t be carrying him in the way he thought, but sure let him think what he wanted to think, “Then no there really isn't.”
He let out a sigh, standing up. "fine. Only because I really want to" he crossed his arms stubbornly.
Chrysa grinned and shrugged her jacket off letting her wings stretch out once more. She kept it on her and reached for his hands, "Give me your hands."
He raised an eyebrow of suspicion before doing as told. His blackened hands were warm at the moment. They were either really warm or cold to the touch. There was never an in between.
He looked into her eyes then down to the bottom then back to her. "so how exactly are you going to do this?"
Chrysa smiled pulled him over to the edge, "We should be able to just glide down, but you'll have to keep a hold of me got it?"
"how? Just by your hands?" he asked, a small wind picking up and ruffling through his hair. Could those small wings carry him? Well, she was carrying him up so he guessed it was alright… Right?
"Well hands and if you need torso I guess," Chrysa responded. She hoped he didn't need to but kept the option open. She kept her wings open feeling the wind run across them. She loved and honestly regretted she couldn't do this more often.
He sighed, holding her hands tightly. "okay, I'm ready I guess"
He didn't knownwhat it felt like to fly, so he was nervous and excited but also really curious.
"Okay, don't let go," Chrysa said as she flapped her wings lifting her body off the ground. Another flap lifted Min Hyuk with her and she was already straining to both keep him up and her up. She angled her self and started her slow decent keeping a tight grip on him carefully grabbing his arms rather than hands for a better grip hoping he would do the same.
As they lifted off and floated to the bottom, he felt the exhilarating rush flow through him, making his heart pound. He couldn’t help but smile though. He felt weightless, as if he were actually flying. Well… what he would imagine what flying felt like. He looked up at her for a second before they landed at the bottom.
Chrysa had his feet down and she landed next to him breathing slightly heavy. She had a smile on and slipped her jacket back on letting her wings fold back up against her back. She waited a moment to catch her breath before standing up straight and looked at him, "Just, just give me a minute okay?"
“Alright” he says too distracted by the outside view from down here. It was a lot when you were being kidnapped and running away by big guards.
He quite liked it. A lot more than yesterday. “So where are we going first” he turned to her with a smile, waiting for her to catch her breath
Chrysa finally caught her breath. She smiled and stretched before moving to just walk calmly, "We can walk around the outer wall. I'm not taking you to meet the others yet, but I might make a stop at the othet base for supplies."
“right…there are others” he says walking along side the girl. He had forgotten about everything she had mentioned last night until know. The other bases and the rogues. He wondered what they were like.
“When do i meet them?” He asked calmly
"When I think they're ready to meet you," Chrysa responded back. She wasn't sure about when they were going to meet him, it wasn't off boys were up in the camps, "Which should hopefully be sooner than later."
He wondered when that would be. Could he be ready to meet them? What were they like? Hes heard quite a bit of them were female and it was pretty weird for him to be a guy. Would there be other guys? He hated men anyway, but girls in his opinion could be just as bad.
As they walked around he took in everything. The view of the sky from down here he just couldn’t keep his reflective eyes from. How the wind smirked above them, making the leaves on the ground twirl around the two. The sweet morning air as his feet were wet from the due of the grass.
“This is gorgeous” he mumbled under his breath as they strayed farther from base.
Chrysa nodded with a smile. She shoved her hands in her pockets and kept herself relaxed. Her body language said one thing but she was constantly scanning for trouble if it came. They should be safe in this area but if not she would pull them back onto a roof in a heartbeat. Most of this specific area was abandoned or dedicated to preserving what little nature was left so trees and grass controlled the place, “Yeah. Enjoy all the sights since this will be the rest of your life.”
It was ridiculous to him how different this was from the labs. How colorful everything was. The smell was so natural and clean, the small crickets every now and then in the grass. He couldn't help but love it. Turning to her as they walked "so what do you usually do? Like.. When you're not stealing government creations?" he joked
"Run around getting information," Chrysa responded stretching with a smile. She could tell he was joking and shrugged, "Of course stealing government creations is one of the funner parts."
