"so do you do anything for fun? I hear people in the lab talking about what they do in their free time. What about you?" he looked at the ground as he walked, still not used to it

"Journal I guess," Chrysa responded her hands going into her pockets. She glanced around warily not seeing any signs of danger, "And run around the city. But I don't really have a whole lot of time for fun."
"how big is the city anyway? And how far away is everyone else?"
He wondered if he would he able to explore on his own any time. Soon. Though that would probably be a no
"The city is fairly big," Chrysa responded, "It can day a good hour to get from one end ot the other and it supports close to a couple million people in it. Of course the condition of their living is highly debatable. The other rebels are on the complete other end of the city, for safety reasons."
Secretly hoping to come across anyone on their way, he turned back to her. "what are those safety reasons?"
"If the government ever figures out it's me who's getting all this 'top secret' information, I'm miles away from everyone else," Chrysa responded calmly, "Only one goes down rather than collective."
"smart" he says with a shrug. She's had a lot of time to plan everything out, so he wasn't very surprised.
"so…. " he paused, thinking about what to say. "what do you journal about? If you mind me asking once again? "
"Life mainly, both past and present," Chrysa responded before she grabbed his arm and dragged him a away from where they had been heading. It was one of the busier streets in the district and she would rather they stay away from those. She turned them not necessarily around but rather one of the side streets that ran by the area, "It's a stress reliever and lets me just sort through out my thoughts ya know?"
He followed her wherever she saw best, assumingely in order to stay away from any unwanted company.
“That makes sense” he says with a shrug, thinking about what he himself would do to relieve stress. Most likely punch a wall or destroy something. He always wanted to when he was mad but never could because he was always so contained.
"What did you do, if you had free time?" Chrysa asked the question back to him. She was glad that he hadn't asked about her pulling him away. He seemed smart enough.
“Um… i dont know actually. Well sometimes they’d let us socialize a little with the other splices. Though we were still in those cuff things. Whatever the hell they were. So i dont know if you could call that free time” he laughed a little. “What did you do back there?”
"Don't really remember," Chrysa shrugged slightly. She had supressed those memories years ago and could only recall that which she wrote down. It, hurt too much to remember her time there so she didn't bother trying. So she hardly looked back in her journal to that time. She knew she had been in the lab, she knew how she'd been in the lab, she knew who she was in the lab with, she knew what had gotten her out of the lab. And that's all she ever cared to remember.
