"Becuase that's not my goal," Chrysa responded laying back on the bed with a huff. She sighed, "I'm not trying to make more splices. I don't want to take more. The more I take the more the government notices me, us. That would work against our goal."
"oh okay" he looked down. "what's your goal?" his gaze floated back to her face. "and why me?"
From what he knew, he wasn't very special. Just another one of those splices created by the government.
"Goal, take down the government," Chrysa responded back smoothly. She knew it would be difficult but it would happen, "And why not you? Taking you out of the governemnt leaves them scrambling trying to replect something they promised to the people. I just cost them years of money and research."
He knew it. Letting out a little laugh, he shouldn't have been surprised. "okay. Though taking down the government would draw plenty of attention to you also." he says running his hand through his hair, careful of his dangerously sharp nails as he ruffled it.
Chrysa heard him laugh and saw him run his hand through his hair, "Yeah, but I'm doing it slowly. Small things, and then larger things. I just need the one piece of information that will make the only thing come crumbling down."
"alright" he says laying down beside her, on his back as he looked at the ceiling. His chest rose and fell as he shivered lightly. He was too tired to hear about plans to take down the government. "what's your name again?" he asked rolling on his side looking into her eyes
"Chrysa," she responded once more. She didn't know why he had forgotten, maybe his tiredness played a part, "And yours is Min Hyuk right?"
"Chrysa…. " he repeated "that's a pretty name" he yawned before nodded. "that's the name. And sorry, I'm really bad with names"
"Nah it's fine," Chrysa responded seeing him yawn, "You'll get it eventually. Get some rest, I won't wake you up again got it?"
"okay" he says without arguing, he curled up a little due to it being rather chilly. Well to him at least. And with that his eyes were closed, though itnwasn't for sure he was asleep.
Chrysa moved and covered him loosely in a blanket. She had plenty lying around the hut. She covered herself in a blanket after taking off her jacket and easily tossing it onto her desk. She didn't care if he was asleep or not, she was tired.

His thick black eyelashes fluttering open, he expected to be in the labs as he had been his whole life. Not in a comfy bed with an actual blanket next to a pretty girl. Was he dreaming? Nope… Definitely not. He realized that when he felt a sharp pain in his head. Sitting up, he turned to the sleeping girl before standing and stepping outside only to look down on the world below. The wind rustled through his hair and his clothes making him feel weightless. Free. Was he free? Finally
Chrysa turned in her sleep slowly waking up. She found another blanket next to her and tried to figure out why she needed two blankets. She remembered her new housemate and moved to get off the bed. She grabbed her jacket and slipped it on. Stepping outside of the hut she spotted Min Hyuk staring at the city below. She crept up next to him and asked him softly, "Beautiful, isn't it?"
He heard the rustling of the sheets through the wind so he wasn't startled. Thankfully he wasn't or else he would have fallen most likely. "so this is what it's like to live outside Huh? I like it so far" he turned to her with a smile of gratitude. "thank you. Even though it wasn't specifically for me, I'm thankful that you did" he quickly looked away, a bit embarrassed.
Chrysa gave him a smile and saw him look away embarrassed. She let out a slight laugh and nodded, "Your welcome. I had planned on getting someone out of there, I just didn't know it was you yet. Besides you can't say you like it yet, you haven't seen some of the best parts, even though this is one of the best views out there."
"well… I like this part at least. I want to see more" he admitted, sitting on the edge. He was careful not to fall off as his feet dangled off of the side. "how long were you in there? If you don't mind me asking… " he looked back up to her
"8 years," Chrysa responded honestly joining him sitting on the edge. She messed around with her gloves, "It would have been less, and probably would have ended in me dead or a whore, since I had a twin brother, but due to, circumstances, they thought it better to keep both of us."
His hands gripped eachother hard when she said that. He never liked the looks anyone gave him. Even the creepy men at the lab. You wouldn't expect it, him being a guy. But it happens and he hated it. Though he just thought it was a part of life and it was normal.
Only 8 years… He was a bit jealous of her. More than a bit. But he didn't show it.
Chrysa saw him and she knew damn well what it was like. She was gentle as she put one of her gloved hands on his, "I was lucky and I know that. Just be glad you got out, some of those people will probably never leave."
His lips curved up, forcing a small smile, though quite annoyed. Man, she really knew how to make someone feel special didn't she.
He readjusted, letting his hand slip away from hers, though showing no annoyance. "how'd you get out?"
"Rebels mainly," Chrysa responded moving her hand back to her own lap. She wasn't going to lie about her escape, not to him, not now, "I also was causing enough of a ruckus and they were going to sell me. They had my brother, I was insurance that was becoming too troublesome to keep. I was on my way to the place where I was to be groomed for my new 'work' when the rebels swooped in and saved me. I owe my life to them."
He nodded, still captivated by the small world below him. He felt as if he was in heaven looking down on everyone. But he knew this was far from heaven.
Chrysa saw him looking down. She had an idea as to what was going through his head though she might be wrong. Taking a breath she moved to stand up and offered him a hand, "Want to go explore?"
