She raised an eyebrow and smiled. “You don't think you’re that good? You’re amazing,” She said motioning to the food, “There’s proof.”
She raised an eyebrow and smiled. “You don't think you’re that good? You’re amazing,” She said motioning to the food, “There’s proof.”
Cinthia shrugged, pushing back her hair. "I'm aware that my culinary skills might be slightly above average, but it's not really something I'd like to do all the time."
Jynna nodded, “Either way, that was still the best meal I’ve ever had, and you bet, even if you only do this for fun, I’m coming back if you’re making food any other time.”
Cinthia chuckled and nodded. "Then you might as well stay here because Wolf is the only other one who knows how to cook without burning the place down." Rhydar and Tessa stuck out their tongues.
She laughed and shook her head, “Why does that not surprise me? Rhydar should know how to cook.” She looked over at him with an amused look and relaxed further into her seat.
He rolled his eyes with a huff, crossing his arms. "I'm feeling attacked," he commented jokingly. Tessa nodded her agreement.
Wolf sat forward in his seat and looked to Rhydar. "Well it's not our fault that you are such an easy target."
Jynna reached over and patted Rhydar’s shoulder in joking sympathy, “It’s ok, you’ll be alright.”
Cinthia chuckled. "Aww, baby Rhydar needs comfort," she cooed. He shot her a glare and she laughed, then grabbed her and Wolf's plates and headed into the kitchen.
A small smile appeared on her face at his glare and she settled into her seat again, taking her hand away from him.
Tessa got up to take her plate over to the sink as well, but not before arching a pointed brow in Rhydar and Jynna's direction. Rhydar knew the look and gave her a 'don't even start,' look of his own. She grinned cheekily, then left.
Jynna glanced over at him as she picked up her plate, motioning to him that she could take his as well as she stood up.
"Noooo," he said as he grabbed his plate and stood, then looked to her. "I'm perfectly capable of taking my plate, thank you very much." His tone was more playful than upset, though.
She laughed lightly, smiling at him as she turned to head to the kitchen, “I was trying to be nice, seeing as you didn’t have to bring me over for dinner.”
"You've done plenty," Rhydar said as he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and followed. "Plus, Cin's joke about me needing comfort and coddling would continue and I don't particularly care to be teased by my younger siblings."
“But you do need comfort and coddling,” She joked, “Have you heard yourself sometimes?” She stopped next to the sink in the kitchen and waited to see what she should do with her plate.
He rolled his eyes and put his plate in the sink after rinsing it off. "I do not," he insisted, pouting slightly with a huff. "I don't know wherever you'd get such an idea."
She laughed and rolled her eyes, “No idea what so ever as to why I got that idea.” Jynna copied what he did and rinsed off her plate before stacking it on top of his in the sink.
Tessa poped up behind Jynna and hooked a friendly arm around the other girl's neck, looking up at her. "Hey, you planning on staying the night?" she asked with an impish smile on her face. "I'm sure Rhydar wouldn't mind sleeping next to you."
Her face turned bright red and she smiled, chuckling lightly to try to hide her blush. “I didn’t plan on it, I honestly figured all of you would be sick of me by this point.” Jynna replied as the red in her cheeks somehow became more noticeable than it already was, “And even if I did, I’d be more than happy to just crash on the couch, knowing me I’d steal all of his blankets immediately.”
Rhydar glared at Tessa, then rubbed the back of his neck and shifted his weight. "Tess, is that really necessary?" he said with a pointed look shot towards her. She grinned sweetly. He sighed and shooed her away, and she stuck out her tongue at him before scampering away. Rhydar looked to Jynna with an apologetic expression. "I'm sorry about her."
“No, she’s fine, kinda reminds me of my sister actually.” She smiled and rubbed the back of her neck, looked up at him before glancing around, “Her question just surprised me.”
He smiled and came up to her, lightly grabbing her waist as he rested his forehead against hers. "You're more than welcome to crash here, though, if you want," he said softly.
She rested her hands on his sides and shrugged. “Its up to you.” Her response was just as soft, “I’m fine with going home or staying here.”
The others in the house conveniently found somewhere else to be while Rhydar and Jynna talked.
Rhydar kissed her nose, staying silent as he thought about it. It would make him feel better than her going home alone, but she was her own person. "I don't want to force you to stay…"
“You’re not forcing me to stay,” She said, looking up at him with her forehead still rested against his, “I’d happily stay, but I’ll leave if you’d like me to.”
