“Sorry for what?” She asked softly, her eyes opening again and a slight confused look crossing her face. Jynna slipped her hand back away from his.
He pecked her nose then her lips, then forced himself to stop. "I really…really like you, Jynna," he said, finally looking into her eyes, "And I don't know if I should stay or go. I don't…I don't want to be the same way I am with other girls," he added with a guilty look.
She looked him back in the eyes with a soft look, her eyes showing she understood what he was talking about. “You decide if you want to leave or stay,” She said gently, “If your mind is telling you that if you stay you’re just going to think I’m any other girl then I’d say go, because honestly..” She bit her lip as she continued, cheeks flushing, “I haven’t met any guy I like as much as you and I don’t want to just be used and tossed away by someone this amazing.”
A muscle in his cheek feathered as he fought his internal battle, his eyes darting around her face. He finally released a breath and kissed her forehead, speaking against her skin. "I'd never toss you away," he murmured, then buried his face in the crook of her neck, kissing it as well, "Never. I care about you a lot, and I don't ever want to hurt you." He would stay for as long as she wanted him to stay, he determined, and let her decide where things went.
She couldn’t help but smile softly at his answer, unaware before that moment of how much he actually cared for her. One of her hands drifted up to his hair without her thinking and ran through it before staring to mess with his earrings, “Just treat me like a person and not an object and you won’t hurt me.”
He had closed his eyes in response to her hand in his hair, and he kissed her neck again. "Not an object, got it," he said, a hint of a joke in his voice before he pressed a kiss to her collarbone. She'll stop me, he told himself, She'll stop me, and I'll back off. And for once, he actually believed his own words.
Her smile grew ever so slightly and she let her eyes flutter close, going silent before asking randomly, “When’s your birthday?” She didn’t ask for any specific reason, it was just the first thing that popped in her mind she didn’t know about him.
He pulled back to look at her with a raised brow, though his face was more amused than anything. "My birthday?" he repeated, then said, "It's March 6th." He hummed and kissed her forehead. "What about you?" he asked, "While we're on the subject."
“May 31st,” She replied, tipping her head up and kissing his nose lightly with her hand still in his hair, “Only missed June 1st by a few minutes, which I’m quite disappointed in myself for.”
He laughed softly and kissed her nose as well. "Just a tad too early," he said, then kissed her cheek. "Any other questions you have for me?" he then asked.
She thought for a moment about what questions she had already asked him. “Where do you work?” She finally asked as the question popped into her mind, “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”
He tilted his head as he thought about how he'd word the answer. "I don't really work anywhere, but I sometimes go to that ice cream place? With the horses? I help out there most of the time, and Kim pays me for the work I do there."
She nodded and asked, “Nice, I'm guessing you like the job there?” Then she went silent again, thinking of another question to ask him. “I don’t think I have any other questions rolling around in my head right now,” Jynna said, her hand moving from his hair to trace over his eyebrow piercings before messing with this hair again, “I know it’s random but do you want to play truth or dare or something like that? I like being here with you and it seems fun.”
He smirked at her, nudging his knee against her leg. "You do realize that I'm a dude? Truth or dare can get very dangerous or questionable," he asked with a small laugh, unconsciously leaning into her touch. He was joking, of course, and he pulled back some.
She laughed and rolled her eyes, ruffling his hair, “Just nothing life threatening or anything like that. I trust you more than you think, Prince.” Her eyes sparkled with a mix of amusement and excitement and she pressed another kiss to his nose, “You up for it?”
He rolled over so that he was lying next to her, turning so he was laying on his stomach. "Yeah, I'm up for it. But I call you to go first so that I can see what I'm up against." He tilted his head as he thought. "There needs to be a thing that lets us chicken out of dares, but we have to do something in replacement of the dare. I would suggest take a drink, as that's usually what we do, but…"
“But what?” She asked, looking over at him and slipping an arm under her head as a pillow, “Taking a drink sounds fun to, and it’ll push me to be less of a chicken, though if you’re not comfortable with it we don’t have to do it.” Already she was trying to think of some good dares and truths to ask him. Fun and hilarious things mostly.
"Alright, then take a drink we shall do." He got up and ducked under the bed, pulling out a cooler and two bottles of raspberry-flavored alcohol. He handed one to Jynna as he sat back down on the bed next to her. "Here you go, milady. You're first."
She sat up as well, examining the bottle for a moment before looking at him with a slight mischievous smile and saying, “Truth? Or Dare?” Jynna shifted around and set the bottle next to her as she thought of the dare if he chose it.
"Dare," he said without hesitation, both curious as to what Jynna would come up with and eager to do something besides sit around. He was starting to fidget again—fingers tapping the bottle in his hand, tongue flicking out to mess with his lip ring, etcetera.
“I’ll give you an easy one to start, pretend to walk around in high heels.” She said, her mischievous smile growing as she crossed her arms and waited.
"What," he deadpanned, then his face scrunched up. "Awww, I don't wanna do that, I'm gonna look like an idiot," he complained, eyeballing his drink. So early in the game too…
She laughed and shrugged, already quite amused by his complaining, “That or you drink, and you won’t look like an idiot. It’s quite easy to walk in high heels, and even easier to just pretend to.”
"Easy isn't the issue," he mumbled as he popped open his bottle and took a swig, making another face. "Ugh, why'd Tess get raspberry? That's a girl's flavor." He shook his head and looked to Jynna. "Alright, truth or dare?"
“Already drinking, geez,” She joked, “And raspberry isn’t just a girls flavor.” For a second she was silent as she weighted the risk of each. “Dare.”
