((I should also warn you that I'll be leaving during the week of July 7th. It's still a ways away, but figured it was better to let you know now than forget later))
Rhydar snorted and headed into the treehouse, then came back out onto the bridge. "A lot of creativity and swearing," he said with a chuckle, kissing her cheek. "I'm glad you like it."
(Sounds good:) )
She laughed and leaned against him for a moment before heading towards the smaller attached treehouse, “Creativity and swearing, that would do it.”
"I mean, who needs normal equipment when you got creativity and swearing?" Rhydar joked, following her. He made sure to keep a steady pace and not make the bridge sway too much as he walked.
Jynna laughed again and was soon at the door to the small treehouse. She opened it up and went in, holding the door open for him from inside instead of standing on the bridge and holding it open.
He bowed dramatically, smiling up at her. "Why, thank you, milady," he said as he walked in.
The bedroom had the same cabin aesthetic as the other treehouse, with a window on both the left and right walls. In the middle, with the headboard against the far wall, was a king-sized bed with a simple comforter and bedstands on either side, a small lamp sitting atop each stand. A large rug was placed beneath the bed; a dresser sat to the right of Rhydar and Jynna, a mirror hanging above it.
“You’re welcome, Prince,” She replied before turning to look around. “See? How do you guys get stuff like this all the way up here?” She gestured dramatically to the bed with a very impressed look and turned to look at the rest of the room.
"The mattress was a nightmare, but we put everything together individually after hauling all the parts up here through the windows." He gestured to the two large windows. "There's about fifteen of us, so we made it work with very verbally abusive teamwork."
She rolled her eyes and felt a smile appear on her face as she wandered over to one of the windows and looked out at the sunset before looking back at him, “This place is ten out of ten, the best treehouse I’ve ever seen.”
"I'm glad you like it," Rhydar said with a smile, then kicked off his shoes and sighed as he flopped onto the bed, rolling onto his back and danging his head off the side of the bed to look at Jynna with a goofy, lopsided grin.
“Dork,” She said when she saw him, laughing and shaking her head, “That’s all I can say.” Jynna looked out the window again before making her way over to the bed, flopping onto it on her stomach and spinning around so her head was by his.
He turned his head so he was looking at her, his lopsided smile still present. "Criticize me, only for you to do it as well," Rhydar said, sticking his tongue out at her. He knew he'd have to get up at some point to avoid getting a major headache.
She stuck out her tongue at him in response and her goofy smile returned, “I never said I wasn’t a dork as well, just that you were.”
He rolled his eyes, then reached over and booped her nose. "Dork," he said, mimicking her. He then rolled over so that his head didn't start to hurt.
She giggled and shook her head, relaxing on the king sized bed and sprawling out just to take up as much space as she could.
He bit his lip as he smiled, watching her be adorable. He got up off the bed to take off his shoes, then sat cross-legged on the foot of the bed, facing her.
“So, Prince, what do you want to do now?” She asked after a moment, looking over at him only for a second as she looked towards the ceiling.
He hummed, thinking and coming up black, then looked out the window. The sun was near setting, and it didn't seem like they'd have much daylight left to do anything, anyway. He smirked as he looked back at Jynna, moving so that he was now hovering over her, and pressed a light kiss to her throat.
She was a little surprised with the kiss on her neck but hummed in response, her eyelids fluttering over her eyes, “That works.”
He smiled to himself and trailed butterfly kisses up her neck and jaw, then to her cheek and finally to the corner of her lips, though he didn't kiss her properly.
Jynna felt her lips turn up in a slight smile and she tipped her head to the side, brushing her lips against his just barely before tipping her head back to how it was before.
He chuckled and pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was slow and lazy, though not without a hint of passion. He just felt so…happy and comfortable with Jynna.
She felt herself relax even more into the mattress as they kissed, just focusing on being here with him in the best treehouse she’d ever seen. It was amazing to be here with someone who made her life seem so much more colorful and bright.
Rhydar shifted slightly on the mattress, tilting his head to deepen the kiss slightly, his own eyes slipping closed. He was very much aware of her underneath him, and the fact that they were perfectly alone, though he tried not to think about it too much. It was harder than he thought.
Jynna didn’t move to stop the him at all as he shifted and deepened the kiss, one of her hands reaching out and resting next to his. Her mind wandered to how alone they were for a second before she focused back on him and the slightly more passionate kiss.
He broke the kiss with a groan, resting his head against hers. "I'm sorry," he murmured. Part of him wanted to leave before he did anything, but another part wanted to stay and see where things went. He was well-aware of the number of times he had done this same war with himself, hence the apology.
