"I suppose," he echoed, with yet more dramatic sighing and grumbling. He stood up and smiled, pecking her lips. "Shouldn't spend too much time up here or they should assume the worst."

She laughed and nodded, slowly making her way over to the door after giving him a small kiss, “I’m kinda betting at least one of them has already assumed the worst.”

"Oh definitely," he said without hesitation, shaking his head with a small laugh. "I just know I'll have to defend myself to the death once you leave."

She laughed again and unlocked the door, opening it for him with a smile, “Good luck with that then, you can always call me and I can show that you’re telling the truth.”

"Doubtful, I live with stubborn asses," he muttered, kissing her forehead as he passed by her. "But I'll try my best to convince them of my innocence."

Jynna followed him happily, closing the door after she left the room and taking a deep breath when she smelled the food from where they were, “Tell me if they actually believe you.”

"Will do." He took in a deep breath, closing his eyes, and a smile settled on his lips as he exhaled. "Ahhhhh, I do love the smell of Cinthia's cooking."

“It smells incredible,” She agreed, her face flushing as her stomach growled, “Guess that means my stomach is yelling at us to get to the food.”

He laughed and wrapped an arm around her waist, leading her towards the stairs. "Not to worry, I can hear Tess's stomach growling twice as loud."

"Prick!" came the golden-haired girl's voice from downstairs.

Jynna couldn’t help but laugh as well, walking down the stairs with him and slinging an arm up around his shoulders.

Cinthia had prepared the meal that Rhydar had requested, saying that Jynna had picked it. Wolf and Tessa were squabbling over the food to fill up their plates while Cinthia herself leaned against the counter, patiently waiting for them.

“Thanks for making this amazing looking food,” Jynna said to Cinthia, smiling at her before unhooking her arm from around Rhydar so she could get food before Wolf and Tessa took it all.

Cinthia smiled and nodded towards Jynna. "You're quite welcome." She then turned towards the other two with a halfhearted glower. "See? She says thank you." The other two pretended to not hear her as they made their way to the dining room table. Rhydar chuckled and slipped his arm from around Jynna and let it drop.

Jynna laughed and headed to the table, taking a plate and waiting patiently for the food. She sat down in an open chair and looked at Wolf and Tessa with a smile of amusement.

Cinthia grabbed the large thing of food and came over to the table, setting it down in the middle. "Help yourself," she said to Jynna. Rhydar sat next to Jynna with a plate and started grabbing his own food.

Her smile grew and she just inhaled the scent of the food for a moment before scooping her own food, digging into the delicious meal.

Rhydar chuckled as he saw her inhale the scent, then started eating. Wolf and Tessa were back to bickering, and Cinthia was just sighing and ending each debate with an unarguable point.

Jynna listened to the bickering as she ate, laughing at some of their arguments and too soon her plate was empty. She looked at the others before scooping another helping and continuing the cycle.

Rhydar was soon onto his second helping as well, rolling his eyes and suppressing his amused smile as he listened to Tessa and Wolf. He leaned over towards Jynna and asked jokingly, "The food's just awful, isn't it?"

“Oh just terrible,” She replied just as jokingly, purposely taking another bite before continuing, “I don’t understand how anyone could eat it.”

Tessa heard their conversation and groaned dramatically. "Oh God, they both speak sarcasm," she whined. Rhydar just stuck his tongue out at her, and the twins chuckled in amusement.

She chuckled as well, jokingly saying, “not just sarcasm, fluent sarcasm. It’s a lot different.” She polished off her second helping and sighed in content, resting back against her chair with a full stomach.

Tessa groaned again and tossed her head back. Wolf rolled his eyes and offered an amused smile to Jynna. Rhydar hummed and leaned back, eyes closing. "You never fail to impress my taste buds, Cinthia," he said. Cinthia waved him off lazily, finishing off her plate as well.

Jynna smiled back at Wolf, nodding in agreement at Rhydar’s comment. “That was one of the best foods I’ve tasted in my life, you should become a chef.”

Cinthia's cheeks pinked slightly as she shook her head, her curly hair falling into her face. "I'm not that good. Besides, cooking is more of a hobby of mine."
