Jynna looked back at him and her smile grew. “Who’d you watch to get better at it?” She asked, one hand moving on top of his and the other running through his hair absentmindedly.
Jynna looked back at him and her smile grew. “Who’d you watch to get better at it?” She asked, one hand moving on top of his and the other running through his hair absentmindedly.
He sighed and closed his eyes, partially leaning into her touch. "Mmmmmm, I watched you and your reactions," he murmured. "If it was a good reaction, I kept doing it."
“Just me?” She asked, shifting around on her feet before moving to sit next to him on the bed. Her hand continued tangling in his hair and she made a mental note of his reaction.
"I mean, I watched all of the girls I've been with," he admitted sheepishly, leaning over to rest his head on her shoulder. "But I paid extra attention to you."
Jynna hummed, “What’s so special about me?” She asked, her legs starting to swing in old habit.
"You're my girlfriend," he said simply. "They…weren't. Not really." Rhydar absentmindedly placed a hand on her leg as he spoke, still keeping his head on her shoulder.
She felt a small shiver course through her body as he put his hand on her leg and she nodded, “Guess that makes sense.”
His eyes fell to the ground. "I'm sorry that I'm not exactly the best boyfriend material," he said quietly, his thumb tracing slow circles without him even thinking about it.
“What do you mean?” She asked, her head cocking to the side slightly in question as another shiver coursed through her body, “You’re awesome boyfriend material.”
"Because I'm not exactly the best at keeping relationships," he said, lifting his head to look at her. "There's a high chance of me coming back home with bruises and some cuts from an argument gone wrong because of my big mouth. So on and so forth."
She shrugged, “So? Cuts and bruises can heal, and I would hope that you wouldn’t get in a fight unless you were standing up for something you believe in, how would that end relationships?” She laid her head on his shoulder and rested her hand on his other shoulder, “You do realize that I’ll stick with someone even if they mess up really badly, the only thing I don’t tolerate is when people cheat, and I would help you deal with the cuts and everything else.”
He smiled gratefully and pressed a kiss to her head, moving the hand on her leg to wrap it around her waist to pull her in a side hug. His heart warmed at the thought that she'd stick by his side no matter what, and he had no desire to cheat on Jynna. She was too…everything. She was everything to him. "Thank you," he murmured, pressing another kiss to her hair.
“No problem.” She moved her hand on his shoulder down to his side and pulled him into a side hug as well, her head still resting on his shoulder gently, “Wonder what your siblings think we’re doing up here.”
"Tessa likely assumes the dirtiest, Cinthia and Wolf are a little more respectful in that they've probably totally forgotten about us," Rhydar said with a chuckle.
Jynna smiled and couldn’t help but chuckle, “It’s going to be interesting when we go back downstairs then.”
Rhydar laughed lightly. "Yeah, it is. Let's just hope that Tess doesn't actually think we did anything scandalous and hound us for details."
“Will they tell us when food is ready?” She asked, lifting her head from his shoulder and looking around the room as her legs started to swing absentmindedly again.
"It'll take some time, but you'll hear Cinthia yelling at the top of her lungs," Rhydar told her as he looked at the door as if expecting her to yell at that moment. "It's a habit, pretty much, because other parasites breezie in and out of here whenever they want, so she just does that just in case one of them is here and we're unaware."
She laughed lightly and looked at him, “Why do you call them parasites?” Absentmindedly, she started swinging her legs again as she waited for his answer and for the hopefully soon food call.
He hummed and tilted his head back as he thought. "It's mostly out of…affection? It sounds weird, but I do care about them. It might be because they come and go as they please and sorta mooch off of us every now and again. They're good though, so it's not like I don't like them."
“Never heard that before,” She replied with a nod and a smile before jokingly asking, “What am I then? I’m not a parasite, at least I hope, but there’s gotta be a title like that for what I am.”
He chuckled and placed a kiss to her cheek, whispering against her skin, "A beautiful butterfly that flew into my life when I least expected it."
Her face flushed again from his response and she snuggled closer to him. “Cmon Rhydar, my blush only faded a few minutes ago,” She fake whined, “You had to go and make my face red again.”
He chuckled and wrapped both of his arms around her, transferring her to his lap. "It's not my fault you're so amazing. I'm just speaking the truth."
She stuck her tongue out at him and wrapped her arms around his waist in a light hug, “I can’t be that amazing, a butterfly is a lot different than a parasite.”
