"I'm fine," She said, biting her lip and going back to watching the fight to try to avoid him asking any questions.
"I'm fine," She said, biting her lip and going back to watching the fight to try to avoid him asking any questions.
He furrowed his brow and moved so that he was in front of her. "What is it?" he asked.
"It's nothing, don't worry about it," She replied, going onto her tiptoes and leaning to the side to try to see around him and to the rest of the fight like she was fine.
He didn't buy it, but he sighed and moved out of her way. He instead went behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her head.
Jynna leaned back against him and continued watching, cheering silently for the littler guy and hoping he would win.
The fight continued on, the smaller guy dodging the bigger guy's attacks. It seemed they were at an impasse.
"You still cheering for the smaller guy?" She asked, looking up at him the best she could without moving his head from on top of hers.
"Yeup. He's got the big guy confused since he's on the defense the entire time." Just as he said that, the big guy charged again. The smaller dude dodged yet again, and not attacking this time. He seemed to have some sort of plan thought out.
She nodded and watched the match with a little half smile to try to show she was fine, even though the fight was reminding her way too much of the fight between Will and him.
He looked down at Jynna and turned her around so that she was no longer watching the fight. "Hey. What's wrong? And don't lie to me this time."
For a moment she was silent, looking up at him before answering, "It's probably going to sound cheesy, but the fight is reminding me of you and my sorry excuse for an ex's fight."
He brows furrowed. "Why would that sound cheesy? Jynna, babe, if you want to go we can."
She shook her head, "We can stay, I'll be fine, I want to see who wins anyway." Jynna looked over her shoulder to watch the fight as best she could.
He still looked worried but moved out of her way once again.
The big guy was looking a little slower, and now the smaller guy was throwing punches that his slow opponent couldn't dodge.
She turned around and went back to watching the fight, automatically leaning back against him again and intertwining her fingers with his.
He lightly squeezed her fingers in response, and mainly kept his focus on her instead of the fight–which it would seem to be a victory for the smaller dude, if the sudden switch to offense was any indication.
Jynna did her best to let her mind wander through the rest of the fight, her eyes still following the fighters as she waited to see who would win.
The two fighters got into a little scuffle until the smaller dude managed to hit a weak point and bring his opponent to his knees. He didn't waste any time and took the opportunity to pin him to the floor, the crowd counting down. The bigger dude tapped out, exhausted.
“Small guy wins,” Jynna said, a small smile appearing on her face as she looked to Rhydar.
"Told you," he said softly, still looking down at her with slight worry. But he tried suppressing it with a cocky smirk. "The little guys always win."
“Not always,” She replied, “But most of the time, yes.” Even though he tried to hide it, she saw his worry and she squeezed his hand lightly, “I’m fine.”
His smile turned slightly grim. "You wanna go? We can do something else–after getting a drink to go, of course. Don't think I didn't remember," he added with a wink.
A small smile appeared on her face, “That sounds good, and I didn’t really know if you would remember or not. A drink sounds quite nice still.”
He smirked and wrapped an arm around her waist, leading her out of the fighting ring and back towards the two bars. "I have a better memory than you give me credit for, my Princess."
"Do you though?" She joked, already trying to decide what drink she should order, taking the smaller amount of money she had left into consideration.
