"I second that statement. He was pretty damn fine."
"I second that statement. He was pretty damn fine."
“Yessss” Jax grinned. “Also congratulations on passing the not homophobic test.” He said, ruffling her hair. “You win….my respect and thanks I guess?”
“Sounds like a lame prize”
“Shut up Ethan.”
"Why would I be homophobic when I'm bi?" She giggled as she fixed her hair.
Jax let out a dramatic gasp before hugging her. “Yay! We got another one!”
She winced when he hugged her, feeling pain shoot through her. "Too tight, too tight!"
“Sorry sorry!” He quickly let her go. “I totally forgot, my bad.”
She rubbed at the wounds he had just squeezed back into pain with a slight smile. "It's fine, nothing I can't handle."
He felt bad. He’d literally completely forgotten.
She gently checked her ribs, knowing at least a couple of them were fractured. She didn't feel anything out of place and let out a sigh of relief. "Survived for another day."
“I’m sorry..” he grumbled again, pouting a bit.
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. I'm okay." She flashed a reassuring smile, unsure if she was trying to convince him or herself that she was okay.
“…if you say so..” he said softly, biting on his lip.
She was sure she was bleeding again and she knew she'd have to redress the wounds as soon as possible but she didn't say anything about it. She never did.
He was silent for a few seconds before of course speaking up again. “You sure you’re okay?”
"Positive. I'm just fine, don't worry about me." Well, about as fine as I can be considering how broken I am. You know I get abused at home and already found my broken wrist, I'm surprised you haven't checked for anything else that's broken…
He very clearly wanted to protest but stayed silent, looking out the window.
She returned to staring out her own window, getting lost in her own mind once again.
“Well you two, where are we going next?” Ethan spoke up, as calm as ever.
"Ask him, I was dragged along this adventure."
“Okay but it didn’t take that much dragging.” Jax rolled his eyes. “And Ethan you can drive us wherever. Not like we have anywhere to be on a Saturday anyway.”
"It didn't take much dragging because I didn't want you taking my arm off if I fought you."
“…you know you don’t have to be mean to me right?”
She simply shrugged, staying quiet.
He frowned a bit before kissing her cheek.
She smiled a little, a light pink blush on her cheeks.
