"Well..not really…it just sort of happened one day..just the idea of drowning terrifies me.."
"Awesome me too." He smiled.
"Well..not really…it just sort of happened one day..just the idea of drowning terrifies me.."
"Awesome me too." He smiled.
Otis smiled, his lips closed as always.
"Oh." Nikki said. "So,um, what do you think of camp?"
“For someone who sings you don’t open your mouth much.” Thomas wondered aloud.
“Seems fun so far, what else do we do here?”
Nikki beamed. "Well, we go on the Zipline, and go-karts, and we have a game room, and rest time, and stuff."
Otis shrugged. "Singing…it's-it's a hobby." he said quietly. "I'm not very good at it…" he said, his voice trailing off.
“Sounds great.” Macy smiled at her.
“I thought you sounded good.”
"I know, right. And honestly, we're lucky. We got Jackie as out counselor, thank gosh we didn't get Reggie or Ayanna."
"Th-thanks…" Otis said, blushing. He ducked underwater, and rose back up, his wet hair perfectly complimenting his impossibly green eyes.
“That’s good I guess?”
“No problem, you deserve it.” Thomas sighed and floated for a while.
"So, uh, where are ya from? Do you have any siblings?" Annika asked.
Otis just chilled around. Otis talked to a boy who looked surprisingly like him, only the boy had red hair. Then, Otis just chilled.
"I'm about four or five hours away from here and I have two older brothers."
Wow that's such a mood. Thomas chilled as well.
(in about 15 minutes I have to leave, and I wont be back till Monday :)
"That's weird. I'm fourteen or 15 minutes away and I have two younger sisters. What a coincidence!" she said.
It was time to get out of the pool. Nikki went and changed before walking back to the cabin.
(Awwww okay..)
Macy laughed a little. "Yeah, that's cool."
Macy and Thomas went back to their own cabins.
Nikki sat on the porch and began to play her guitar.
Otis smiled, hearing the tune that the two always played together.
Macy went and sat on the steps, drawing some landscapes and listening to distant guitar music.
Thomas joined Otis in the porch and read for a while, his fingers tapping along to the beat.
(i have returned)
(honestly, I dont think that the guitar music was THAT distant, it was on the porch that she was on…right?)
(i dont understand)
Nikki stopped playing. "Do you sing, Mace?"
Otis tapped his fingers before finally asking, "What'cha readin'?" quietly.
(Oh, oh. I'm stupid)
"Not really. I work better with my hands then my mouth." She smiled a little.
"Oh, it's a really good book.." Thomas went on explaining about the book he was reading very enthusiastically.
Nikki smiled. "Do you play an instrument?"
Otis nodded, sincerely listening. "sounds good…" he said.
"I play a little piano, but not much." She said.
"It's one of the best books I've ever read, you should really read it."
"Cool." Nikki said. "I actually have a friend, and we both play the guitar and sing. People think we sing love songs. It's super annoying. The only love-ish song that we've played is shut up and dance."
Otis nodded. "I might." he said.
"Are they here?" She asked, looking over at Nikki.
"Cool, cool. Do you know anyone else here?"
"Yep. Otis, the one guy that I was talking to at swimming? Shy, quiet, stunning green eyes." Nikki said.
Otis nodded. "My little sisters and a friend."
"Oh yeah, I remember seeing him. He seemed nice."
"Nice. Was your friend the one at the pool with Macy?"
"Yep." Nikki said.
Otis nodded.
Macy nodded and continued drawing.
Thomas smiled and sighed, leaning back.
Nikki played some more acoustics.
Otis drummed his fingers. Finally, it was time to go.
The cabins set off for canoes. They had to walk down a long path to get there. Nikki walked next to Macy, while Otis was sorta near-ish to Thomas. Nikki looked back at Otis and smiled. Otis smiled back.
"Do you wanna be in a canoe with me, Macy? We can bring Thomas and Otis, too." Nikki asked.
"Yeah that sounds fun." She smiled.
Thomas smiled at her and walked over to them.
