Annika and Otis hopped out of Annika's mom's car and went through the registration process. It came to picking their nametags. Oh dang, how will they prounounce it this time? Annika thought to herself. "Ok, here's Otis Hartford and Ann-ickuh,Ann-eeka, Ann-ie-kuh,um…here." Annika and Otis smiled at each other and walked on. They were greeted by a cheerful rotund woman who was gonna tell them their cabins. "Ok, Otis, you're in Cabin 3,England, and you, honey, are in Cabin 7, Hondoras." the woman said in a Southern accent. "AUSTIN! Take this young man to his cabin, and get Anna on your way out to take this young lady to hers." Austin smiled at Annika (they were cousins), and led Otis out. Annika's mom hugged her daughter and Anna led her to Hondoras.

(btw, are you a Christian? just wonderin :)
(Thanks)
(and i'm catholic…sigh)
Thomas walked off the bus, chatting happily with Macy who wasn't listening but walked with him anyway. They went over to the registration table and he turned to her. "This is where we part I guess." He smiled. "Yeah, I guess." She repeated absentmindedly, looking around the place.
"Hello!" the cheerful woman said to the two. "What are your names?"
"I'm Thomas." He grinned, glancing over at Macy and nudging her a bit. "Oh, i'm Macy."
The woman smiled. "Okay. You can just get your nametags from right here, and then go through the lines. The woman at the front will tell you what to do."
"Thanks." Thomas said, taking his name tag and finding Macy's as well, handing it to her. "Thanks." She smiled at the women, taking the name tag and following Thomas.
(wait one sec lol i forgot that I changed Annikas name lol )
Nikki went into her cabin, greeted the counselor, and found a bunk and began unpacking.
Otis picked a bottom bunk in the corner, the second to last.
"Hello!" a man greeted. He inspected the nametags. "Macy, you can go over there with Anna, who will take you to cabin 7. Thomas, you can come with me to cabin 3." The man, who had the name "Forest" on his nametag, led Thomas to his cabin while Anna led Macy to hers. "Have fun!" they said while the campers went into the cabins.
Thomas waved a little to Macy and followed Forest into his cabin. "Thanks." He told forest, walking into the cabin and glancing around. He smiled at the boy and went over to him. "You mind if I take this one?" He asked, pointing to the bunk above Otis's.
Macy walked into her cabin and went over to the bunk across from Nikki's. She smiled a little at her and sat down, beginning to unpack her things.
Otis looked up. "S-sure…" he said, shrugging. He didn't mind.
Nikki smiled. "Do you need help unpacking?"
"Thanks." Thomas smiled. "I'm Thomas. What's your name?" He asked, climbing up onto the bunk with his stuff.
"I'm good, but thanks." She said quietly, taking out her things and setting them neatly on the bed.
"O-Otis…" Otis replied. He glanced below his bed, using his heel to push something back.
Nikki smiled.
"Cool.." Thomas said, not trying to make Otis uncomfortable and finishing unpacking quietly.
"So..have you been here before?" Macy asked quietly to break the silence.
Otis leaned against a wall and wrote in his notebook.
Nikki smiled. "This is my 9th year. I've been coming for a while. Is this your first year?"
Thomas sighed and leaned back against the wall, running his hand through his hair.
"Whoa that's a long time. Yeah this is my first year. Is it fun?"
"It's awesome. If you ever need any tips, I'm here. By the way, watch out for hot sauce and salt in your drink at dinner. They have red cups for some reason." Nikki said with a smile. "What's your name?"
Otis' hand was hanging off of his knee, his fingers moving as if he was playing guitar. He hummed his favorite song quietly.
Macy laughed a little. "Thanks. My name's Macy, what's yours?"
Thomas absentmindedly hit his fingers on the wall along to the beat of what Otis was humming as he sat there, pulling out a book and reading quietly.
"Nicole. Just call me Nikki, or Nick, I don't really care."
Otis was trapped in his own little world. He began to quietly sing the song. It was his favorite. He had always been told how good at singing he was, but he never believed it. He sang fairly softly, unaware that Thomas had probably heard him.
"Cool. Nice to meet you." She sat on her bed and pulled out her sketchbook, leaning back against the side of the bed as she drew.
Thomas smiled a little, enjoying Otis's singing. "You have a nice voice." He said, bending over and looking down at Otis.
"You too." Annika said, picking up her sketchbook as well and drawing.
Otis looked up at Thomas, blushing. His green eyes sparkled. "Th-thanks." Otis said with a small smile.
Macy glanced up at Nikki momentarily then back down at her own sketch, frowning slightly.
"Do you sing a lot? You're really good."
Otis smiled shyly. "kinda…" he said.
Nikki looked over at Macy, then proceeded with her doodle.
"Well..I think you sound great. You should sing more." He said, sitting back up in his own bunk.
Macy frowned slightly for another minute then seemed to have fixed something and smiled happily.
